yeah
what are the odds of a trade or a lineup change between now and tuesday?
bayless leaves over my dead body
Start Andre (in a 2 guard lineup)
"Good defense always beats bad offense."-Al Iannazzone, Yes Network
I still believe that our problem is a minor one
Meaning with a few adjustments, a bit of yelling, overturned chairs, and tough practices, we can recover. Our team is just as fundamentally strong as last year, we just need to click.
"Rudy is not everyday a shooter," Fernandez said. "He's defense. He's passes. He's assists."
bring back the three guard line up please

No big problem... yet.
Fact is, we had one awful, uncharacteristic game the day after Thanksgiving when the Blazers, stuffed to the gills with turkey and disrespecting of their opponent, got creamed in the first half by Memphis. Before that things seemed pretty fine (12-5 record, Oden breakout vs Chicago, home winning streak, etc.), and after that the Utah game went about as expected — we never win down there. The test will come in the next week with home games vs Miami and Houston, two decent teams we should beat at home. Take care of business, you’re 14-7 and all is right in Blazerland again. We’ll be watching, Nate…
Nates System (or lack there of) is killing our potential
His rotations are totally illogical and he has single handedly killed the morale of this team.
Roy is not the problem. Roy worked very hard in the off season as did the rest of the roster, And Nate, in his usual clueless fashion, for the third consecutive season, declares that he has no freaking clue who will start. Then after starting Blake, Roy, Webster, Aldridge and Oden and coming out sluggish, he pulls off the absolute dumbest move in coaching history by announcing he will start Miller, Which was great, until he said " With Blake and Roy" WTF!? So after that debacle didn’t work (to put it lightly) He makes a grrrreeeaaat coaching move, he goes back to the original mistake because he is so lame, stubborn and petrified that he absolutely refuses to start Andre Miller with Roy, Webster, Aldridge and Oden.
And why in the world does he always have to pull Oden out with 6 minutes left in the 1st? When we played got murdered by the GSW Oden was killing them and Nate pulls him out just because " it’s time " He did the same thing with Webster against Memphis. Basically, if you get hot, you’re coming out.
And with Blake, Nate always says " We need him to spread the floor " It’s like he doesn’t understand pace and tempo or something. Andre Miller would set the table for everybody to eat, he showed that before he was demoted in favor of Blake again.
NATE CANNOT LEAD US TO A CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!!!!!!!
Oh yea and a little newsflash to the Nate faithful….. Nate has NEVER won on any level!
Not high school, Not college, Not the NBA, Not as a player and not as a coach, he didn’t even win in the biddy ball league! At least Avery Jonson and Byron Scott actually no what a real and successful Championship run feels like, Nate hasn’t even been close! WHAT A JOKE!!!!!!!!!
I used to be a nate defender. I cant do it anymore.
Ever notice that it takes a while to for the blazers to get warmed up?
Nate is not doing a good job of mentally psyching them up. They come out sluggish and turn on later in the game when things start to go bad.
Oops
We"ve had success Despite Nate, Not Because Nate!!!
Chill out
It’s two games in November. We have 63 games left and will likely get Outlaw and/or Batum back before the playoffs. Nate is the hard nose coach this team needs and he will figure out the rotation before any other coach would be able to.
Yeah because he is spotted a yr head start
Nate is normally the last to figure things out, esp during a game.
Land Rondo.
"He needs to realize that he can't stop every shot, especially from a smaller and offensively potent player. Get your hands up, make him shoot it over you, but let him shoot every once in a while. They score a little but you stay in the game a lot. And when you stay in the game...smashy smashy!" Dave on Greg Oden

You chill out!
I can give my opinion if i please! And I know it’s November. And it’s not just the two games, if you we’re paying attention you would see that even the wins (excluding the chicago game) have even been frustrating. So you “Chill out”
"hard nose coach this team needs"
Yeah these guys need a real firm disciplinarian to supplement their obvious character flaws. Get real. These guys need a coach who knows how to coach.
“and he will figure out the rotation before any other coach would be able to”
You just made me vomit in my mouth.
like you know what Adelman, Avery Johnson or Byron Scott would do.
What a joke!!!!!!
Not calling you out
Didn’t mean to offend you, i just think people in general need to take a step back before calling for Nate’s firing. Nate has increased the win total every year since he has been in town, granted that has a lot to do with the players management has brought in, but I think it would be hard to fire a coach that on pace to win 50 games this season and make the playoffs. When was the last time that happened in the league? Sure he has had some substitution issues, but juggling playing time for so much talent on one team is going to be difficult for any coach, especially if one were to come in during the middle of the season. I think the injuries to Batum and Outlaw have made it difficult for Nate to adjust to forming succesful new rotation. Nate isn’t the assistant coach on the USA Team for no reason. We are 12-7, 1.5 games out of the lead in our division, and 3 games out of the conference lead. We have played more games than anyone in the league, and haven’t had many consecutive days off to get good practices in. I know we have looked awful the last couple games, but losing to Memphis at home is really the only game this season that I feel like we can look back and say should have been a guaranteed win. I know Nate has some substitution problems to work out, but as long as the issues remain internal and don’t get brought to the media I think everything will work out. Making a coaching change in the middle of the season, especially this early with a winning team, would only lead to major distractions and set the team farther back in my opinion.
To Blazas......
My apologies, Didn’t mean to come off so abrasive, It’s just been killing me to see us play the way we have been. You’re obviously a fan just like me so much respect to you and no disrespect intended.
consolidate this situation
add another high IQ player…
Blake/Outlaw for Diaw…. (not sure if Charlotte’s looking for cap relief yet but would work)
Miller/Bayless
Roy/Fernandez
Webster/Diaw
Aldridge/Diaw
Oden/Pryzbilla
a 8 man rotation (with Bayless and Cunningham getting spot minutes) would really clear things up and get the team familiar with each other, and Diaw’s contract is only two more years. It is high salary but he’s a high IQ and good defense guy, and a great passer.
Nate's The Problem.
Fire him and hire Avery Johnson and We will……..
1. Compete hard every night.
2. Have a system implemented that we play every game, which will allow us to perfect that system.
3. Have a stable rotation with defined roles so that the players can be more aware of their position and thus, more effective.
4. Have a passionate coach, with championship experience, who is not afraid to stand up for his players when we’re getting absolutely killed by the officials.
Would be interesting, intolerably curious what a coach change could do....
Agree on the no Avery…. just the voice is enough to tune out what he has to say.
"Travis went all wang-dang diddly wubba SPROING wow-wow on everybody " Dave's recap, season opener
