Yeah
I totally agree. It might seem like its just symbolic but there are people that would take this the wrong way. Good to see.
"Oden was a huge factor in that...thank goodness he got in foul trouble...nobody could guard Oden" Don Nelson
I agree it's great
What do you mean “there are people that would take this the wrong way” ? I was just wondering. I know about the historic conflicts in the middle east, I understand that (as much as an American can) but what would they take the wrong way?
i would guess...
its how omri casspi has his handed rested ever so slightly on haddadi’s hip…right???

Shalom, Salaam... NBA Cares
What you don’t see are the knives that each one has planted in each other’s back. But seriously when Casspi got drafted this year this photo was what I thought of, before it was ever taken. Casspi is a scrapper, he’s here to stay. Not so sure about Haddadi, some have said he is too raw for NBA.
The NBA should really be trumping this up. I can’t think of one other pro league in the world where this has happened.

soccer?
Maybe
When reached 40 years of following Portland basketball you have, be as passionate of the Trail Blazers you will not!
I'm sure you're right...
on the lower tier levels of play since there are so many leagues of soccer, but doubtful on the elite level. Iran is not exactly a sporting nation. I was thinking perhaps there was a boxing match for a belt where an Israeli has fought an Iranian.

I remember reading about an Iranian "football" team
that went to the Beijing Olympics, I think last summer

Omri's got the better teeth...
"There are a few teams you have to watch out for in the fourth quarter."
"Yeah, but Portland definitely is not one of them."
-New Orleans Hornets broadcasters at the end of the third quarter with the Hornets leading 74-59. Portland later ends up winning 97-89.
"They don't mind him shooting that shot at all. Rudy Fernandez is not that great of a 3pt shooter."
-New Orleans Hornets broadcasters right after a Rudy Fernandez missed 3pter. Rudy Fernandez finished the game with three 3pters on six attempts.
yeah
haddadi’s teeth rather yellow
bayless leaves over my dead body
Start Andre (in a 2 guard lineup)

Can Someone Embed the Picture?
I can’t see the site at work.
THAT IS AWSOME!!!!
The Faith don't panic, the faith freaks out, burns out farms, and torchs small villages in the name of The Faith.
I'm sure that the photo will get Haddadi
a warm welcome home when he visits Iran,
death threats on 3, …. 2, ….1, …;
but it was definitely a class thing to do on both their parts.
Seriously, he took a real risk and could easily be jailed. The Iranians won’t even allow their athletes to compete against Israelis in international competitions.
true!!!
but I think you might want to insert “iranian goverment”. instead of just iranians.
as I understand it alot of their people don’t understand why they hate america they just do becuase it’s the cool thing to do.
But I’ve been wrong often.

Head Czar of Amerika <--- Mortimer said so so there!!!
Not even
According to an Iranian with whom I am working (2 months in the country, from Tehran) educated young people don’t hate America – they love America. The leadership of Iran is not reflective of the population – evemn less so than it is here.
