Around SBN: Jerry Sandusky's Wife Tries To Run A Reporter Over

"Roy is averaging about 17ppg (compared to last seasons 28) Aldridge plays like he is scared to get hurt, he keeps settling for his 20 foot jumper or his baby hook that cannot find the bottom of the basket, Miller has played up to the standards that I was hoping for when the Blazers picked him up, but Miller and Roy somehow can't work together, and Oden.... Don't get me started on him, anyone can dominate and dunk on a team like the Grizzlies or the Timberwolves, but look at him when the Blazers play a physical or a scrappier team, he (Oden) can't do anything, he gets nevous or unconfident in himself and ends up fouling, commits a turnover or mishandles a pass."

I love how when someone writes a negative article they will go out of their way to exaggerate actual stats (notice roys apparent 28 ppg last year and 17 this year, it's actually 19.9 at this point) to make it favor them more.

Apparently the blazers are the most overrated team in the NBA.

Even if you despise the Blazers..

such a comment is ridiculous. To the effect that it calls his credibility into question.

Who is Rob Johnson anyway?

This is a retarded article. The author couldn’t even get his stats right. This article is so soaked with platitudes and “observations” that it should be a livejournal post, not a supposed “basketball article.” Stuff like this is what gives bloggers a bad name.

Rob Johnson.
or is he the guy who did the Curious George soundtrack?

...

It wouldn’t of been that bad of an article but the fact that he had to exaggerate stats to make his point seem more legit removes all credibility and becomes bias.

when do oden haters start realizing how wrong they are?

sportscenter never really highlights when oden has amazing games like tonight, and we’re not on national tv much, so if he isn’t getting 25 and 15 in the box score will they ever know?

For those of you who don't know

Bleacher report is like a myspace for wannabe sports writers. Every now an then you find a good writer/article but most of them are fan based “hate” or “love” pieces. For the most part read with caution.

by Bskey on Nov 23, 2009 11:35 PM PST reply actions

And this Pulitzer-worthy piece

is the first by Mr. Johnson. according to his profile:

http://bleacherreport.com/users/132673-Rob-Johnson

I always wondered what Rob did with his life after the Raiders let him go…..

BTW, the Blazers were supposed to be “competing to be the best in the West” and are 11-5, first in their division and one game behind Phoenix for the best record in the West. Meanwhile, wasn’t San Antonio supposed to also be “competing to be the best in the West”? And aren’t they 6-6 and tied with OKC for the 8th spot in the West? But the Blazers are the most disappointing team so far? Sure……

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.

OK, that should just about wrap up the goaltending discussion.
