At least I always felt that way when he was going against the Blazers. And if you can cause somebody as even-tempered as Doc Rivers to go ballistic, you’re probably fairly irritating. Plus, I’ll always be grateful for Greg’s often clutch fourth-quarter play when he was a Blazer.

Did you see the rookie Sheed playing peacemaker in that Bullets clip? Time flies. I saw that Heat team a week before that-they lost to the Blazers. I think Zo missed one at the buzzer; as I remember he got mauled, but it was a no call. I know I’m getting old when all those guys I always thought of as young turks are mostly retired by now.

In that final Bulls/Pistons clip, I had some deja vu when seeing Doug Collins get tossed around trying to break things up. Didn’t Collins take a shot from a teammate during the infamous Blazers/Sixers brawl in the ‘77 finals? I think he was holding Bob Gross, and Daryl Dawkins or Steve Mix went to pop Gross, who slipped from Collins’ grasp and Collins ended up getting smacked instead.

Greg Anthony I think does studio work for TNT or ESPN. Doc Rivers is a world champion as a coach and a Coach of the Year. And don’t forget KJ ran as mayor of Sacramento, and succeeded perhaps too well, having mastered the art of graft on the court.

This is a good video

to show why the league’s rule about leaving the bench was needed so badly. Talk about ugly, the brawl at the palace of aubrn hills has nothing on these guys.
