Gameday Open Thread: Bulls vs. Blazers--Pre-Game

Here we go with Game #16.  Will it be sweet for the Blazers or will they watch the object of their desire waltz off with someone else, leaving them with only bitterness, regret, and a general contempt for the referees?  Discuss the possible permutations of tonight's game here.  Please stay respectful, on topic, and remember that links to streaming video sites and requests for same are not allowed.

I'm sure the Bulls remember last year at the Rose Garden.

A 116-74 drubbing at the hands of the Blazers. We had better be ready tonight.

They only have three players tonight who played in that game

Gordon, Gooden, Hughes, Nocioni and Sefolsha are gone. Deng was injured.

Rose, Hunter and Noah played. Thomas and Gray played but are injured tonight.

Sac - Griz game

Cassipi is a nice player.
I hope Claver is as good or better.

by Falcao on Nov 23, 2009 6:08 PM PST reply actions

Sergio just drew an And1 from Marc Gasol

He also has learned the art of the pump fake, and Griz players actually buy that he wanted to shoot.

He actually got less minutes than with the Blazers until recently

Hey Dave...

Sorry, I have not been paying attention. Why no links to streams or request for streams? Thanks!

it can be seen as the site tacitly supporting illegal/immoral activity.

How did you guys win that?

by douglast on Nov 23, 2009 6:27 PM PST up reply actions

Upon further reflection

I think “unethical” is more descriptive than “immoral”. Specifically we depend on people not boosting our stuff so we’re not really in a position to support people boosting other people’s, no matter how tempting it is. The morality issue is not one of streaming vs. not streaming but whether it’s OK to violate something we hope other people won’t violate with us. Legalities certainly come into play as well.

NBA is cracking down on them. Illegal. And the whole LINK – PASSWORD! thing throughout the game was clogging up the threads.

Andre did NOT sound happy.

Not that I can blame him. Count me firmly in the Dwight Jaynes “Dre got thrown under the bus by Nate and Brandon” camp.

AWESOME. Starting the clearly inferior player b/c your star isn’t willing to take the time and effort to develop the on-court relationship that would only help the team.

Awesome.

Hello blazer fans!

I would like to win, and not get angered by Nate’s silly rotations. I know, I want alot.

Go Blazers!

Nate is a good man, but unfortunately, not the right coach for this team.

by RenoBlazerFan on Nov 23, 2009 6:39 PM PST reply actions

Just frustated is all.

I hate when a coach says there’s a competition for the starting job and may the better player win, only to have the better player get the shaft.

he basically just confirmed that andre needs to accept his role in the second line up, and that him and brandon NEED to find a way to play together when they’re in.

he also made clear that even though the blazers have been winning w/ the 3 gaurd line up, it’s been cuz of the D, not the efficient offense of last season. good to here from a national perspective

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside.
