Around SBN: Knicks Beat Lakers With Familiar Strategy

BYRON SCOTT OFFENSIVE INSPIRATION

He's the one that can bring back players inspiration in the offensive end. A former succesful point guard who has proven to live up to the expectations according to the talent of his team. His philosophy won't give blake so many chances and just a few to bayless. His rotation logic is consistent game after game and is based in the inspiration and creativity that can reach his players.

Nate's offensive plays are so conservative that is impossible for a player to get inspired in that scheme. Team doesn't even run plays. I dont even think they have a play book. It's just give 1 on 1 with whoever has the ball. You never see clever moves in the offensive end as the lakers, for instance, does.  His rotation logic(?) doesn't promote player's momentum. There's no consistent rotation where the players can stand on and play safety their games.

NATE DON'T STEAL FANS AND PLAYERS INSPIRATION!!!!

BYRON SCOTT OFFENSIVE INSPIRATION WE NEED!!!

PD: I don't think avery jonhson is a bad option, but byron scott is the best.

Actually

David West said after Scott was fired that he liked the move because Scott’s didn’t know what he was doing on offense. They barely called plays anymore because they had CP3.

Byron Scott was criticized heavily for relying too much on his star player.

He barley gave his young guys (Darren Collison) any run. I seriously doubt he would play Bayless anymore minutes than Nate would, possibly less even.

I’m not sure he’s a better coach than Nate, although he very well could be. The Devil you know is better than the one you don’t. Unless it’s an obvious coaching upgrade it just isn’t worth the risk.

Scott's WAAAAAYYY Better than Nate

However I like Avery.
Adelman would be that final piece necessary though!!!!!

Star PG was irrelevant

Even with CP3 was out, Collison wasn’t getting any run.

It's easier if you hit the reply button.

Roy is enough of a PG that Scott would probably just use him in the same way as Paul. A bunch of pick and rolls, pick and pops with Aldridge. Which would be fine, but I doubt we would be running plays for Oden or giving Bayless minutes.

He just doesn’t develop his young guys, which I think is part of the reason that roster is so thin. He also has seems to have a pretty bad attitude lately, which is part of the reason he got fired. Delaying the team flight so you can play golf, especially when the team is doing poorly lacks judgment and rubbed the management the wrong way.

To me it seems like a lateral move. Scott isn’t running difficult, interesting, or thoughtful plays. His rotations are more suspect than Nate and his roster choices (Posey) haven’t exactly panned out.

I think that this would simply be trading one set of problems for another set of problems.

We don’t need another coach that ignores or improperly handles the development of young players that clearly have raw skills that need time on the court.

You are aware that Byron Scott was a SG, not a PG?

How did you guys win that?

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.
