NBA League Pass Broadband
So, I used League Pass Broadband for the free trial and it seemed to work pretty well. However, I only used it for the last two away games and some other, non-blazer, games were blacked out. I also wanted to see if games on the same account could be played on different computers. When my friend got on my account in West Linn the Blazer game last night was blacked out...So my question is...how often are blazer games blacked out and why was the last one out in West Linn but not Portland? If people have any other thoughts on League Pass Broadband or maybe want to go in on one subscription with me let me know.

anything you could watch on national tv will be blacked out
from the league pass broadband online help:
--
This applies to games being televised on ABC, ESPN, TNT, and NBA TV. You may view these games simply by switching to the designated channel.
--
in the end, about 30% of the games are on some form of national tv, so thus blacked out of the broadband package.
as for connecting two computers at once to the package, i have to believe that won’t work. or at least not easily. i’m going to guess the software is smart enough to not allow two simultaneous IP addresses to access the same broadband pass account. just a guess though, i’ve never tried…
one question, when you tried to connect 2 different computers last night, were you able watch the game on your computer while it was blacked out for him? was he able to watch any games at all, or were they all blacked out?

FYI - two comps at once works for me...

were they two different IP addresses?
or both in the same place behind the same router?

The Blazer's game was blacked out but the
other games he could watch. We tried having him open broadband first with the same result. So, it appeared that we could watch the same games and for just some reason that Blazer games was blacked out.

I live in Medford
I talked to NBA Interactive in Jersey, and they said I should get the games on Broadband since I’m outside Portland. The opener against the Rockets was there, but both weekend games were blacked out. I called them just minutes ago and am awaiting their call back.
I’ll post again when I hear back.

as far as I can tell...
they can use your IP address to try and trace your location, and if successful, they can black out the games in your area. The IP address is specific to your account with your ISP and some IP’s cannot be traced in this way (it depends on the ISP, I think). So if your friend’s internet service has a location-traceable IP the games will be blacked out over his connection.

If it's on Comcast, TNT, ESPN, or ABC
and you live in the Portland area it will likely be blocked out.
However, if you live out of the Portland area, you should be able to get all the games that are on Comcast, but obviously not the TNT, ESPN or ABC games.
I used the service last year with a friend who lived in Florida and were both able to login into the service at the same time.

Oh, and I tried to use proxies
and had no luck getting around the blackouts since I’m in Portland.
