We can't use him.
I mean, listen to this laziness.
“Six years later, it’s hard for me still to come to grips with the speed of the game. I’m better now, and one of my assets is I can run well, which is very useful at my position. But it’s still hard for me to run like that over long periods of time; I get gassed quickly. I grew up playing football, and though you can’t quite relax, you are not always running in football. In basketball, you are always running or moving or doing something. It was hard for me to adjust, but it’s something I learned with time.”
If there’s anything I’ve learned from playing halfcourt pickup games against opponents ranging from 5’5"-150 to 5’11"-230 it’s that professional players shouldn’t be getting tired. I know when I play these games there are plenty of times that me and the other players aren’t ‘running or moving or doing something’ and I think that Joel could learn some things from us.
Just my two cents.
It wasn't the first time I'd been kicked in the cherries and called a rat by a woman, but it was the first time I didn't mind.

Thanks for the piece, Amlmart
It’s a good one.

Sound like he'll never be a starter
but he could be a short-minute reserve, to come in and rebound and use his fouls, then come back to the bench when the starter (LMA) has gotten his rest
When reached 40 years of following Portland basketball you have, be as passionate of the Trail Blazers you will not!

He'd be like a Joel clone to back up LMA.
I agree with your non-starter assessment, but hey, he’s young enough to be a little more (or a little less) than that.
*Unless KP has a secret plan that makes this statement incorrect.

You think Freeland is similar to Przybilla?
Freeland has much more of a offensive game than Przybilla. He has a jump shot with range out to the 3-point line. He’s more like a less experienced version of Aldridge than he is like Przybilla.

I'll post the stats of all 3 of our Euros, for those interesed (and not wanting to go look them up)
Claver (ACB Stats):
6 games, 26.8 min, 11.0 pts, 59% 2fg, 35% 3fg, 65% FT, 6.0 reb, 1.5 as
Freeland (ACB Stats):
6 games, 22.7 min, 9.7 pts, 55% 2fg, 69% FT, 4.7 reb, 0.5 as, 1.3 bs, 1.5 st
Both have comparable numbers in 2 and 3 games, respectively, in Eurocup play, with Claver averaging 15 and 7 in his 2 games.
Koponen (Italy league):
4 games, 19.8 min, 5.8 pts 33% 2fg, 38% 3fg, 83% FT, 2.5 reb, 1.5 ast
How did you guys win that?
"We scored enough points. We scored 107, they scored 105.
