are the blazers in the hunt for Stephen Jackson?
if they aren't maybe they should be. the guy is sick. and if KP wanted to get him he could, easily.
Blake and Outlaw (two expiring contracts) plus the rights to claver for Jackson would work under the cap no problem... depending on which site you look at for team salaries.
maybe Jackson doesn't exactly fit in with the new team culture. so. the guy is one of the best perimiter defenders in this league, he's a veteran and an nba champion. he can play sf, sg, and pf. plus he could definitely shut down the melos and arizas of this league and show these blazers how to toughen up. i like the fact that he's got an attitude. the blazers need an attitude. they need to get mean. he's the guy to help them.
the move would also free up more playing time for dre miller and as much as i love webster, he's better off the bench.
if the blazers want to become contenders or mentioned in the same breaths as LA or San Antonio then they have to make a move. this is the move i'd make and paul allen can afford it.
GO BLAZERS!!!

Only if we get Speedy Claxton as well.
I think the Blazers could really use a guy named ‘Speedy.’

The issue with Stephen Jackson isn't the off-court junk, but rather his high usage and inefficient scoring.
Anyway, Jackson will probably end up in Cleveland. For the Cavaliers, trading head case Delonte West and filler (e.g., Darnell Jackson, Jawad Williams, and Danny Green) to the Golden State Warriors for “S-Jax” is a fair deal. The Warriors would have to release a few guys (i.e., Craig Claxton, Acie Law, and Devean George) to make room on the roster, but that’s worth it just to dump the artist formerly known as “Captain Jack” and his gargantuan contract. Additionally, two of the filler players, Darnell Jackson and Jawad Williams, have got non-guaranteed salaries for this season; thus, they could be waived immediately after the trade at no cost.
Dear Paul Allen:
Waive Patty Mills & sign Ime Udoka.
Sincerely,
