Blazer TV coverage in Seattle?
Does anyone know what the situation with broadcasting Blazer games in Seattle is this year? Last year I bought the NBA package on DirecTV (because David Stern suggested that Seattle residents should adopt the Blazers in the absence of the Sonics), only to have the Blazer games blacked out. Apparently Comcast claimed Seattle as Blazer territory and occassionaly broadcast games on Comcast up here. Not sure who annoys me more these days, Stern or Comcast. Grrrrr....

It's the same as last year
Only way to catch games are via CSN, which is available on their higher-end digital packages. I believe LP doesn’t get blacked out for KGW games though, but I’m not sure since I didn’t buy LP last year.

so if I get league pass I can watch the games that are on KGW?????????
that would save me so much time… i had to drive down to portland for all those games last year. Between comcast and national televised games, I am still going to miss 8 games, including the first game of the season :( But if league pass is not blacked out for the games that will be on kgw, that would be great!! does anybody know for sure?

Also, even if you have comcast and CSN in Seattle, there's no HD available

Well it wouldn't be so bad
If they weren’t CONSTANTLY reminding you at every commercial break that the game is also being broadcast in HD. But yes, i get your point. I have it better than lots and lots of other people simply by virtue of getting to see ANY games.

about the crappy sports channels on the hotel packages (which is standard everywhere) and they said the hotel needs to upgrade to a better package, yeah right.

NBA League Pass & Broadband League Pass
Both of them will televise blazers games that are only available on KGN according to support reps at nba.com 2 weeks ago.
So to see all the blazers games in seattle: Get comcast and nba league pass.

Good to know!
At least that way we can get some of them in HD, huh?
Of course, the TNT/ESPN games will be in HD here in Seattle anyway…
