Yes, "flag" my impeccable basketball acumen.

Google my track record, too, for it’s under AK1984.

Stupid people have stupid ideas.

I was flagging for the "jerryd the bust bayles" comment lol

Ah, it's all good in my book.

If I get defensive, it’s ‘cause I’m a jerk.

I did not really flag it lol, and I dont mind people getting defensive

because I tend to do the same thing… a lot. I did find the Bayles comment funny, but unnecessary.

Budinger is a much better athlete than Morrow

All through his college career though, he was inconsistent and never lived up to his impressive ability.

by jksnake99 on Oct 8, 2009 10:18 AM PDT up reply actions

He sure can shoot it....

How is every other part of his game though? His release is pleasing to the eye though. I get the feeling he could shoot twice by the time Rex released his jumper, and probably shoot a high percentage while doing so….

Oh crazy.

You love another white guy. Who would have thunk it.

Yeah

If only Jerryd would bleach his skin and grow his hair long.

Oddly enough, I went over this topic once before on here.

I abhor numerous Caucasian players in the NBA, which is because they absolutely suck on the court.

NVE is just teasin' ya

I think it’s a chicken and the egg type thing… most white players aren’t as athletic, so to be successful in the NBA they gotta scrap and play defense and rebound do the dirty things teams need to win. And, you like and admire guys like that, so you happen to like a lot of white dudes in addition to the black players.

Except for Mike Miller. He’s just handsome.

In udder words

You don’t like ‘em cause they’re white, you like them for what they do, but what they do, they do because they aren’t as athletic, because they are white.

Chicken or the egg.

Nuh Uh

I heard AK only likes the music Michael Jackson put out as a white guy. Even yesterday, he shot a rockin’ robin with a BB gun.

Poor Spike.

You think you're a polymath and you're not even a polymath 101.

by tominhawaii on Oct 8, 2009 4:44 PM PDT up reply actions

I'm just kidding.

Although, I’m still betting you still have a disproportionate love for players of the Caucasian persuasion.

There are 46 white Americans out of 432 players on current NBA rosters. That’s 10.6 percent of the entire league and about 1.5 white guys on average per team.-SLAM

But yeah, I’m just joking. I made the same point as Mort once before. White guys tend to compensate by being scrappy. You like scrappy dudes. Makes sense.

by Nick Van Excellent on Oct 8, 2009 2:21 AM PDT up reply actions

And, they have the heart of a champion

Who doesn’t love the heart of a champion?

AK is just loyal to his kind.

I mean, some players are just a little to… urban for my tastes. I prefer them, how should I put this… scrappy. Yes. Yes, that is our new code word for it.

Whaaaaaaaat

You can’t call me racist, I used the proper code words to hide it.

And if YOU know the code words it means YOU are a racist!

Championship teams are built upon mid-range jump shooters who do nothing else

If you don’t have one of those, you’re going home early.

For some reason I feel like Budinger has the “heart of a champion”… I dunno why!

Plus his arms are short

He is 6’7", and his arms are 6’7".

He’ll never get into passing lanes with those dino arms! If only his arms were buff they’d look shorter ;-) <——WINK

Ironically, I dislike Matt Carroll and love Chase Budinger.

It might be my Layne Staley bias that gets in the way, though.

A nickname, eh. :)

For now, let’s stick with “No Excuses.”

If that stuck as Budigner’s nickname, I’d die a happy man.

Matt Carroll will kill this year, he just got Lasik surgery and now can finally see the hoop

As for Budinger, I rather have Martell. Bayless is a totally different player type.

involved in some sort of Aztec ceremony.

Is the No Excuses phrase his tag line?

Is it just because Budinger is a Rocket that this video has a Chinese music video attached to it?

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.
