Around SBN: Knicks Beat Lakers With Familiar Strategy

According to sportsbook.com, the over/under is 52.5 for the number of regular season wins this season. Too low? Too high? Over? Under? I think it's about right.

read Hollinger's piece on ESPN

we won 54 last year, and that was despite losing a couple where the other team had some flukish free throw shooting and such. We also had the best point differential after the All-Star break. All-in-all I’d say that we’ll win about as many as we did last year, maybe 1-2 game improvement thanks to Miller, Oden being better, etc.

but don’t listen to all these people saying 60+…yeah its POSSIBLE…but also very difficult considering the balance in the Western conference and how that plays into the overall diffculty of the schedule

Probably change once highlights of Oden in preseason get circulated.

Portland is going to get 61 wins...

that is my guess.

Over.

52.5 is a really low estimate for the Blazers this year.

My official season prediction is 53.

So I think they set it just about right.

Too close to even to be much more than a 50/50 chance, which is what they’re looking for, I would assume.

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.
