Impressive
It would have been better if he would have finished it
I hate Blazersedge.

So normally one can't jump to conclusions from one game...
but when Greg does about 3 things he has never, ever done before, I’ll go ahead and jump.
The cowards never started
The weak died along the way
Only the strong survived
They were the Trailblazers

AND...he made the freethrows
MB said last season Greg got fouled the second most in the NBA per minute, behind only Shaq.

For centers.
Roy, Aldridge, Oden, Rudy, Batum, Outlaw, Webster, Bayless, Blake, Miller, Joel... Holy crap!

You sure?
I don’t know how to find that info.

Greg's moves are looking decisive and confident. Looking good.
He needs to only bounce once after he spins. He dribbles twice and sets himself up to get blocked. I’m sure the coaches will work on that move with him.

Didn't TZ wrote one article last year that he'd rather have Hawes?

I remember him writing that they were "of equal quality"
which wasn’t ridiculous to say at the beginning of last year. If he said it now, it certainly would be.
If I recall correctly, a Sacramento Bee columnist said he’d rather have Hawes, but I don’t recall Ziller doing it. He might have but I haven’t seen it.

Think it was a local homer columnist
Not TZ.
TZ had Kevin Martin ranked as like the 15th best player in the NBA before last season, which is his only major silly mistake I can think of.

Cool thanks
Didn’t TZ write that Sacramento is a dump and a rat was in the movie theater?

Pretty clean looking block...
Though often Oden gets hacked and the whistle is silent.
*Unless KP has a secret plan that makes this statement incorrect.

great move
am I the only what that noticed, though, that (a) Hawes got a lot of ball and (b) Oden could have been called for hooking Hawes with his right arm?
Tons of encouraging stuff from Oden in this game though.

not about the result, about the agility and quickness from GO.
It probably was a clean block, but not a hook.

yeah, I certainly appreciate brp posting the video
That’s about the quickest spin I’ve ever seen from Greg.

I think Hawes was going for the foul
And got mostly ball, but the refs reacted to him looking like he was going for the foul.
Hawes didn’t even react like he got ball after the whistle. He reacted like “yeah, I was trying to foul”.
Great spin by Oden, who spun so fast and was so wide open he had to think about what to do next! Spin and attack, Greg! You had a wide open dunk. Nice recovery by Hawes to get a hand on the ball. If he wasn’t acting like he was just trying for the foul it prolly isn’t called.

I hate hate hate to be negative..
But wasnt that clearly a travel? he catches, pivots using his left foot as the planted foot, then spins with his left while keeping his right planted.. I love greg but i think this couldve easily been a travel..

He needs to dribble right when he's doing it
AND, yes, establish the correct pivot foot, or none at all until he decides to spin.
As long as he dribbles like he did it’s okay to do, but a ref might call him on it if the step/spin is before the dribble… TOO much before it, anyways. It’s a fine line.
