"Did you see last night? I tweeted last night that somebody needs to release a poster of Greg Oden squinting at the Jumbo-tron to see how many fouls he has. Because that is all that his career is right now. But, he went to the line and they were down one with like six seconds left. You could tell by the look on his face that he was just going to brick them and he did brick them. The weird thing is that he is just not that good. It not like he isn’t healthy, it is just if you watch him . . . I have Clippers season tickets and the Clippers have a back up center named DeAndre Jordan, and I watch Oden and the whole time I think, is this guy better than DeAndre Jordan? I can’t even tell. I don’t think he, from what I have seen, I don’t think he will ever even make an All-Star team. Pretty unbelievable."
From a Bill Simmons interview with WEEI. Just what you'd expect. Has Simmons ever heard of something called defense? Or the fact that it is valuable?

Sometimes I have that same thought
Then I wake up, look at Clipper games and statistics, and see that DeAndre Jordan has a PER of -3.6. I don’t think he, from what I have seen, I don’t think he will ever even make the playoffs. Pretty unbelievable.
But slowly things happen that they cannot help and the Blazers Fellowship of the Ring begins to break apart

By the way, going from his tweets, doesn't Simmons constantly ridicule something called "The Big Show" on WEEI?

Yeah this guy has a personal vendetta against Oden for some reason. I don't get it. There are plenty of other players worth talking trash about but he seems to really enjoy bashing Greg.
He was crushed when the '07 lottery
hosed the Celtics, and they wound up with the 4th pick. Seeing Oden as a gigantic bust, and actively fostering that opinion among basketball fans (which is something he can do with his gigantic readership), makes him feel better about it.
And that’s coming from a fan of his.
For the same reason that I have a personal vendetta against Kevin Durant

Not 'nuff said...
He has tickets to the clippers because he wants to watch teams in person and l*kers tickets are more expensive. That means we should respect him less why?
Your confusing thesis has captured my attention. Tell me more.
