Let's go Blazers

Time to respond and go on a 20 game win streak to make up for losing.

ok.... WHEW!

There’s Roy. 2-3 on 3s, and 3-3 on freethrows. 9 for him and 10 for Aldridge in the 1st quarter? I like that very much.

Now, let’s get Ariza T’d up and out.

One of the better netbooks on the market too. I hate Flash, I can’t wait until they add video acceleration.

I’ll hang out here and Gamecast. What a stinker of a game so far though.

The Kings have the best bench I’ve seen. There are easily 14 guys on this team good enough for every bench in the league. Now if we could only get some starters, I’d totally jizz in my pants.

Oden

All summer I heard how much oden was progressing, same thing I heard and believed last year. I see improvement on the defensive end but thats about it. He still has foul trouble and hardly any offense.

It would be the height of folly to extend Oden the way they extended LMA.

How does talking about Durant's good game bring perspective to a Gameday Blazer thread?

It’s only good for giving perspective on the GM’s performance. that’s not a gameday conversation.

You're the one that said it brought perspective to the gameday thread

Fantasy Basketball is going on in parallel. Nothing to get worried about, I like both guys.

Only Oden’s rebounding isn’t so hot at the moment that this alone warrants defending him.

Oh cool, didn't know you were talking FBB

I got used to that being in the JD, I spaced that you sometimes cover it in the gameday thread. My bad there!

But come on, no point in bragging about Durant’s performance as people grumble about Oden. It would be like putting a story up about Durant after Rudy’s rookie/soph performance.

It's a high scoring game right now

Both sides are hitting their shots.

The Kings have the best bench I’ve seen. There are easily 14 guys on this team good enough for every bench in the league. Now if we could only get some starters, I’d totally jizz in my pants.

I have to imagine Bayless isn't getting on the court for a reason

I’d personally prefer Miller stating, Blake backup and Rudy getting spot minutes (Roy gets some PG in the 4th).

I don’t think it’s coincidental that Oden’s offense dropped when he no longer was in the same unit as Miller. They’re no longer in sync when they are on the court either.

Brooks is crazy competitive. I think he loves to show the Blazers what they passed on.

He wanted to be here, and they skipped by him. He loves to rub it in their faces.

Did you ever see that three point contest between Brooks and the NCAA Women’s 3 point champ, in their psuedo-all-star college thing on ESPN? Brooks competitive nature is insane.

Greg's defense is improved. That's great.

The fact that he can’t take advantage of David freaking Anderson and instead commits an O-foul is very, very disappointing.

Trevor Ariza still the most overrated offseason acquisition, Dave?

Our perimeter D has been a joke. I think Houston will cool down, but can we get a hand up and at least pretend to challenge shots? Please?

What’s up with Roy’s ball handling? Usually its one of his biggest strengths but he is struggling. Good thing he was on fire from deep.

LMA showed up on offense with some really nice moves. His defense is still a joke though.

Houston’s a good team, but I want to see a lot more from the Blazers.

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.

OK, that should just about wrap up the goaltending discussion.
