Blazer pre-season games on t.v.?

I thought I'd heard on Courtside that at least one preseason game is to be televised.  But I just spent 20+ minutes trying to verify that on-line (@ Blazers, Comcast, & CSN sites) and on the phone with Comcast folks.

Star-divide

Any info would be appreciated.  And sorry to take up Fanpost space with this.  But 20 minutes of futile inquiry seemed like enough!  Geez...

P.S.  I do realize that Sunday's Fan Fest event is going to be on CSN.

If it is being aired on TV

can someone please stream it to justin.tv? Those of us who do not live close enough are attempting to throw money at the blazers and still can not buy a stream.

Anyone know

If the Fanfest will be available to watch after the fact online?

Obviously I can’t go, and I would ever so much want to see it.

Me too.

"Aneurysm".

When Outlaw wins a game on a last-second shot, it’s called an "annthefaneurysm". QualityPie

I like the DVR idea

Won’t be hard to get it online after that if one is motivated to do so.

Or, maybe it’ll be online. We can dream!

if you were to upload it in any format

I would be all over it like a hungry bull dog on a plate of bacon

by lurtsman on Oct 3, 2009 6:42 PM PDT up reply actions

I seriously would if I could

I live in LA and thus don’t have access to the game in any shape or form.

Unless a kind hearted soul DVR’s it and saves it and gives it to us so we can love them a lot time.

Ya know, I coulda sworn I heard that one or two preseason games were on t.v.

Maybe that was a feverish dream back during the dog days. Oh well: soon we’ll have lots of real Blazer action to watch.

No preaseason games televised...

I twittered Joe Freeman regarding this and he replied with a definite “no”. Suprisingly, the FanFest will be broadcast on CSN. I am tivo-ing it and if any Edger wants to come over and watch it I will seriously let you. I live in “close-in” SE.

My question is, will any of the preseason games be on 95.5?

ESPN is doing their usual on-line “gamecast” updating stats every minute or so.

Probably not.

From 95.5 the games website:

Due to regulations from some of our content providers, play-by-play broadcasts cannot be heard via the Internet.

They've done at least 1 or 2 pre-season games before

And we’ve been able to catch more via the other team’s feed… like, Sactown usually shows their pre-season games.

Some we’re just out of luck for.

Hmm… I’ll check out who we’re playing and see if we can get the enemy’s feed…

And yes, anyone who has Comcast, DVR/Tivo the Fanfest and we’ll figure out a way for unlucky souls like me and Ann to watch it later on!

Well isn't that just great....

After I read your comment I hopped over to sactownroyalty.com and they just had posted that no preaseason games will be broadcasted because of costs.

Looks like it will be radio for the first two games.

wow

I got jazzed even after many days at a futile job because I was going to watch pre-season. Now there won’t even be a fuzzy lagging hard to find stream to watch. This is entirely retarded.

Any chance we can use the sactown blog

to find someone who wouldn’t mind recording with a hand held and uploading? I’m not advocating piracy, but if they are not going to air the games, they have no business stopping us from seeing it. (If they offered to sell it to me, I’d buy it, if not, expletive them.

I definitely read

that ALL preseason games would be on radio 95.5. too lazy to find the quote though.

I've tried for quite some time to come up with an epic signature. I now realize that I don't post frequently enough for it to really matter.

Good enough for me.

I’ll be tuning in. Thanks.

Preseason

I heard today on Wheels At Work that all preseason games will be broadcasted on 95.5 The Game, however, none will be broadcasted on TV. He did say that you MIGHT be able to find an opponets broadcast (throguh League Pass/internet stream) if the opponets are televising it. However, Sacramento is not televising the preseason either.

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.
