FAST BREAK - 1977 Portland Trailblazers documentary @ the Clinton Oct 24-26th

PORTLAND TRAILBLAZER DOCUMENTARY "FAST BREAK" TO PLAY AT THE CLINTON STREET THEATER

In celebration of the 40th year for the Portland Trailblazers, the Clinton Street Theater and Darkroom Associates proudly present three screenings of "FAST BREAK", the rare and celebrated documentary about the 1977 Portland Trailblazers - directed by filmmaker, Don Zavin.

Evoking a trippy cinema verite feel not found in most sports documentaries, FAST BREAK examines the 1977 Trailblazers in a surprisingly personal and compelling fashion. Inter-cutting excerpts from the 1977 playoff / championship season, the film steps outside of the basketball court, and into the everyday lives of the Trailblazers, as well as their coach Jack Ramsey. Whether it's biking the Oregon coast with Bill Walton, hosting a kids basketball camp with Dave Twardzik, or joking with Maurice Lucas at the pool - FAST BREAK lets the players speak for themselves: about basketball, life and playing in Portland.

FAST BREAK will be screened at 7pm on October 24th, 25th and 26th at the Clinton Street Theater - in anticipation of Portland's home opener against Houston on October 27th.

Additionally, Oregon author Matt Love will be in attendance on Saturday the 26th, to share excerpts from his book "Red Hot and Rolling: A Retrospection of the Portland Trailblazers 1976-77 Championship Season". Matt will also selling his book - which includes a DVD copy of FAST BREAK.
