OT: DeJuan Blair
My new NBA man-crush. I love an underdog, I love Popovich, I love the Beast. How could the Blazers have passed on this fine young man? All ACL's ever do is tear anyway.

If he can stay healthy
he’s gonna give Blake Griffin a run for his money. For reals.

Are you talking about Griffin or Blair?
*Unless KP has a secret plan that makes this statement incorrect.

i watched the spurs/hornets game on espn360
blair defends almost as well as zbo.
the bad part is that he’s actually trying and can’t stop anyone.
he sure can board though.

yeah, that guy has a chip on his shoulder
and rightly so. Kinda hate the spurs. Still….kinda have to root for Blair at the same time. I just hope he gets paid before his legs explode.

I don't think this is OT
I love this guy and wish we had him.

I think there have been more Dejuan Blair threads on Bedge
than any other NBA player, blazer or otherwise.
It’s getting to be a little ridiculous.

At this point it's like wishing you were 3 inches taller...
we’re just going to torture ourselves. We very likely made a mistake passing on him. I don’t think we need anymore proof at this point. We might as well move on. He’s not coming to Portland anytime soon.

I'd argue we do need more proof
He’s played 1 NBA game. I think everyone expected him to be better than a 2nd rounder… up until the point where he gets injured. It would be like renting an above average rookie, hoping you don’t lose him to an injury.
Not a good long-term investment. We want a career path like /, not one like \.

adding Blair would've been like adding a cheap, older veteran PF
you know you can’t count on him for the long haul, but you might get a couple years out of him.
14 points and 11 rebounds coming off the bench? I’ll take those numbers for 1-2 mil/year for as long as he can jump and run
When reached 40 years of following Portland basketball you have, be as passionate of the Trail Blazers you will not!

darius miles
don’t you think that we would look like dueches after we told darius miles couldnt play anymore because of his bad knees, made a big stink and sent an email telling people not to sign him because of his bad knees, then we sign a draft pick without any ACL’s? cmon, KP doesn’t want a bad rap, noone will do trades with us and everyone would say the blazers are cruel and an evil organizations. i don’t think we will pick up anybody with bad knees for a long time.
