NBA 2L10 ot Live'10

I got 2K9 last year, I hear Live got much better this year. Which should I buy this year?

I've always been a Live.fanboy

Try the demos though…the cool kids seem to like 2k these days

Kobe is my profile pic because of this beatdown I received.

There is a reason 2K10 is the only sports game being released for PC this year

I believe EA owns rights to both series. The only other game being released is Fifa 2010 but I believe we have to get Euro imports.

I bought almost every NBA live up until they stopped releasing it for PC last year. 2k9 was the first 2k basketball game for PC. It was far better than Live 08, not even close. Ive had 2k10 for a week. It kills 2k9. I can’t see Live ever catching up. 2k10 is just too realistic.

Funny thing is

Every single player in that vid but Rudy was a rookie. Either someone screwed up and thought Rudy was a rook or Pendy, Inferno and Pattycake weren’t good enough and they just threw him in.

2k10 is pretty awesome!!

The career mode or whatever it is is really fun. You try to make it on to an nba team… you play summer league, training camp, and D league. Its kind of hard to get used to though, because you only get to control your guy and not the rest of the team.

i hear live has better gameplay

but 2k has a mcuh deeper franchise mode (player options), good amouncing and many other things.

plus, you can edit contracts, thus giving LMA his extension

I bought both

And I have to say without a doubt that NBA Live 10 is much much better than 2k10 this year. People that are hanging onto the 2k franchise at this point are beginning to sweat because 2k10 is becoming superior

What makes it better?

Wife will shoot me if I spend another $60 on a basketball game, and there isn’t a reason. ;)

I thought NBA Live 08 was better until I got used to 2k8

If I bought two games of the same sport, at roughly the same time, I would play the one I was better at and more used to.
I would also like to know what you think makes 2k10 inferior?

OK, played both demos, getting 2K10.

I like the graphics better in Live and theres some nice animations but I hate the controls.

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.

OK, that should just about wrap up the goaltending discussion.
