the whole lottery aspect of it
i understand he’s listing the roster, but i don’t get the other parts of it….
"Your best?!?!! Losers always whine about their best. Winners go home and &^%@ the prom queen"
That it was about impossible to predict all players on the roster and in the rotation

it was Allen’s decision who makes the roster. at least I think that’s what his point was.

one of the mods should edit that post
"Your best?!?!! Losers always whine about their best. Winners go home and &^%@ the prom queen"
I suppose Bulls fans would write less fanposts and comments if Del Negro decided to start Lindsey Hunter over Rose...
…than Blazers fans have theorized over who and why should start. They would just call the coach stupid and be done with it.

I just wish that Ben would read the fanshots before posting one of his own.

Yeah, promoting FanShots is done to better effect on Sactown Royalty and Blogabull

i do read them and saw it.
ultimately we are accountable in different ways than some other sites because i am with the team on a regular basis. for that reason anything i post i prefer if at all possible to do it under my own name.
also i hate editors and don’t want to edit other people’s work. often with the fanshots the description used is not the one i would prefer.
for those reasons i sometimes duplicate the content.
hope that makes sense.
i just wish complaints about the site were made via official, private channels rather than expressed in a forum like this.
thanks.

Matt on Blogabull makes his editorial comments pretty clear when moving things to the front page. Saves himself some work, and he is strict about keeping things in one place. And isn't he kinda like your boss as the manager of basketball blogs on SBN:)
[From the fanshots. Dr. Del Negro says it’s an unusual ankle injury and it’s possible Rose will miss the opener. Dr. Rose (someone else took his MCAT) says there’s no way he’ll miss the game.
Either way, it’s looking like Rose will be missing nearly the entire preseason, which isn’t a good thing for a team supposedly banking on continuity and camaraderie over talent. -ed.]
i’ve tried that in the past. it’s more work and the end product is more confusing than it needs to be. realize that a huge portion of our readers are not active commenters and simply want quick, easy, access to content. we are balancing a number of needs and generally the best solution in that case is the simplest.
again, this should be handled case by case depending on a site’s structure and its needs. to my knowledge matt does not cover the team in person.

I understand it Ben
You are right to do it that way. Keep it clear what YOU are saying, since YOU will have to deal with it when it comes to the team and your relationships with them.
Ya can’t expect busy people to parse who is saying what on an online forum.
The only issue I had with it was that it
kinda haulted the conversation going on it the fanshot. After Ben.’s comment here I sent Ben an email suggesting that maybe he put up a post with his own words, and then link to the fanshot or something like that.
Really nit-picky I know, and I didn’t intend for it to go this far. Admittedly, I should have emailed it to Ben, instead of posting it in here. I don’t know, maybe I am not thinking of all the different nuances.
I get the paper, so I don't care!

And Ben put an identical one a few hours later. It is really not a big deal. I don’t really care that much.
The JD is taken very seriously recently.
I get the paper, so I don't care!
You can take an existing Fanshot, and also have it appear on the main page (like a link or alias). Then existing discussion can continue, and people aren’t commenting in two different places on the same topic. You can also edit a remark that you promoted it to the front page, etc. The Fanshot will still be in the Fanshots, but also on the main page.
Ben said he doesn’t want to do that because that might mix up editorial statements with fan content that he isn’t responsible for. Other editors that are also respected writers like Matt of Blogabull or Ziller of Sactown Royalty/FanHouse/FreeDarko or the guys at Third Quarter Collapse who are also attending team functions do it. Different approaches with different benefits.
Yeah, I get how that part works
I agree with Ben, since he has such special rare access, that keeping his name separated from fan-produced content to avoid confusion by team officials is important.
Ben likely has to defend himself for his own work, having to do it for other’s wouldn’t be fun. Maybe nothing has happened like that yet, but it will eventually.
I get why the other guys do it more, but yeah… different situations, different approaches.
no problem at all
I think you´re right about the fanshots.
I also think it´s better for you if complaints are made publicly, that way you have an idea if the opinion is shared by more people.
had someone not emailed about this post and the issue above, i probably wouldn’t have been here. that’s often the case during the day, when the majority of the traffic is online. so the complaints raised could have 200 people in favor of them, but we might not realize that. a heads up is a good thing.

haha! you got it!
Between finishing up sidekick week, and his signing, I thought going back in time to when we signed the young Sophomore from UT would be nice.
How ironic is it that we drafted the sidekick higher than the hero?
KP hit the jackpot in that very weak draft. Unbelievable that you could find your franchise foundation in that one.
The only other major stars are Rondo, second round pick Millsap, and to some extent Bargnani, Thomas, Gay, and maybe Foye and Powe. The rest is forgettable (sorry Sergio and Joel Freeland, but you’re not a franchise cornerstone).
I do that too
It’s kind of like chicken. I do it on the sidewalks when there are 2 or 3 people walking side by side and they expect me to get in the grass. I just stop and make them go around. I’ll probably get beat up by a moke someday for it.

big time pet peeves of mine
A) When you are watching TV/playing video games and people WALK RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE TV
B) At the grocery store, people who either 1) stop and chat or 2) check their list and hold up a whole line of shopping carts behind them and create a traffic jam in an aisle
C) people who stop and talk RIGHT ON THE SIDEWALK and block pedestrian traffic
all 3 of those annoy me so much
"Your best?!?!! Losers always whine about their best. Winners go home and &^%@ the prom queen"
I hate people in the grocery store who go right down THE MIDDLE OF THE AISLE
with a cart. And they don’t move. Ever.
Oh man the ones that lean on the handle of the cart with their feet kicked back effectively taking up like 8 feet right in front of the cheese
And then they pull off like every kind of bag of cheese and take like 20 minutes to choose? Guess what IDIOT? This is not a leisure activity for me, I just want to get in and get out and you are stealing precious moments from my life!

nope
I have had enough Armstrong coverage to fill me up for 2 lifetimes.
I was ok with him until he came out with his childish antics in the lead up to the tour and throughout the tour.
His presence seriously compromised Astana’s ability to win the tour.
Life is exhausting when you are this stupid.
Hmmmm....
I guess I have a different opinion. To me, the childish antics (and huge insecurities) emanated from his younger team mate.
That said, the tour in 2010 should be freaking awesome. Contador was declared a free agent by the UCI today…and if he signs with either Caisse or the argyle lads of Garmin…..either will be one freaking powerhouse of a team.
Two huge egos, one spot on the top of the podium. Fireworks for sure!

that is not true at all
Armstrong instigated every thing
putting his riders into the work when there was a split on a windy day (totally unnecessary after he had already been soundly beat by contador in the opening TT, and a waste of energy for valuable workers such as Popoyvych)
Contador rode to protect Armstrong in one of the late mountain stages on a headwind climb. The roles should have been reversed here to protect, who at this point should have been the undisputed leader, Contador, as he had shown his superiority in both ITTs and climbs.
Some will point out that Contador broke tactics on when he dropped Armstrong on an early mountain stage, but that was total posturing by Armstrong PR machine. Countering a move by a dangerous rival like Schleck is called bike racing, not breaking tactics.
I’ll leave it with this, whenever Armstrong had a teammate who challenged him he was gone from Postal/Discovery. It was extremely hypocritical for Armstrong to challenge someone who should have been the undisputed leader of Astana.
In the US the story line has been that Contador stood in the way of Armstrong’s 8th victory, but the truth of it is that Armstrong wouldnt have even finished on the podium without Contador’s protection in the final days.
Life is exhausting when you are this stupid.
Oh come on....
Saying Armstrong did anything wrong regarding the windy split was ridiculous….
Listening to Paul and Phil it was EXTREMELY clear that a split was likely to happen. Contador SHOULD have been up front. It’s not up to someone else to tell him that. Lance did not cause that split in any way, shape or form. He simply benefited from knowing what was likely to happen.
And it what way should Contador have been the undisputed leader? He’d won 3 grand tours….the other guy had won 7.
I don’t think Contador broke ranks when he dropped Armstrong….it was the smart thing to do.
But Contador has an issue with quality teammates. When he won the tour in 2007, he had big issues with Levi coming in 3rd. He was pissed the Levi won the final time trial and didn’t just ride a relaxed pace.
I have no problem with people who don’t like Armstrong…..big Tex has a big ego….all champs do. But let’s not play the victim card for Contador. He is anything but. He has benefited TREMENDOUSLY from the knowledge that Bruyneel gained and passed on from the Armstrong years. And IMHO he’s HUGELY insecure.
I STILL think next year will be a wildly entertaining tour.

I just feel that in the pre-season you can do one of two things—prematurely crown a champion or prematurely crap on a team. I know what you mean though. I just can’t deal with people being overly critical of any team in preseason. Works in progress, ya know?

I didn't read the article
But non-Portland fans have a very high opinion of Nate, and so do pretty much all reporters.
Much of it is based off of the myth that he is a guy who coaches great defenses, but the general feeling about Nate is super-duper-positive as far as I’ve seen.
Simmons. amirite?
Come on Blazers fans: you can’t be mad about my 41-41 pick. Gotta take 2-3 chances with picks or why even do them? BTW I will be vindicated.

I really hope the games start streaming on Blazers.com soon.

I'm gonna put the kibosh on you. You know I've kiboshed before. And I will kibosh again.
He REALLY predicted 41 wins?
…
…
…
…yes, he knows how we react, and he is literally trolling. That is recockulous.
I was shocked to see that
Until now his Blazer stuff had been negative but plausible. He jumped the shark with that one.
Yeah, he's just been a hater
THIS is a whole new level of outright silly dumbness.
It would take lots of injuries for him to ACCIDENTALLY be right. I am fine him dismissing us at every stage in our development (oh, it was just chemistry, a hot streak, they’re good but just okay, etc), but this is just dumb.
What did he predict OKC would do?
true
and the LAST thing you need from your scorer is playmaking ability
"Your best?!?!! Losers always whine about their best. Winners go home and &^%@ the prom queen"
I can see where he is coming from with the whole tuning Nate out thing
but 41-41 I don’t see at all. I don’t see how you could pencil them in for anything less than 46-36.
I also don't see Roy, LMA, or Oden tuning out Nate
That is the team.
Joel or Blake won’t also.
That is the role players.
Who will tune him out? Maybe Miller? I doubt it, but if so— ok. But still.
Bayless/Outlaw
Along with the issues about how to handle Batum/Webster and how does Miller respond to coming off the bench, it isn’t sooo far fetched to think that Nate is coming to a point where he can’t reach the players as easily as he used to.
If this happens, it woudn’t be the first time that it has happened to a fine coach, nor will it be the last.
And Trout had shouting matches with Nate. Not sure he counts Nate among the great things about Portland.
Trout won't go against Roy
And Quick had good stuff about Batum and Nate’s relationship, and how much they like each other in past “Behind the Green Door” locker room features.
If Batum plays 15 minutes it could get icy, but he’s still just a French kid.
No one with any real pull on the team will cause any problems.
And that's the thing
You can’t expect EVERYONE to be happy.
You do want your core and most important players to be happy.
I do not see Roy, LMA, Oden, Joel, Blake, Batum, Rudy being unhappy, with Rudy having the highest chance since he wants to be more of a star.
Bayless won't be happy
Trout neither, but even if they are fuming mad and quit on the team it doesn’t matter.
Is this Timbo or Mortimer?
I can see it both ways, the Simmons viewpoint where the Blazers don’t make the next step because there is some issues between the players and coaches that have arisen due to the team having success and the Mor-timbo-mer view that because the Roy/LMA/Oden core is on board with Nate that everything else is noise.
I think we worry about it much more about being on the table
Than it is really there on the table.
Plus, it’s an easy story for the media to focus on even before there is even a hint of trouble.
Yeah, he played a Roy-ish role on the national team, getting the ball in isolations in crunch time and taking his man off the dribble when driving. Not nearly at that efficiency, but he has the handles and game instincts to be more than a catch-and-shoot player and he knows that very well. He won’t demand Roy’s touches, but I could very well see him ask for a role like Bell or Diaw played for the Suns back in the day.
i couldn't believe he had the Thunder
finishing ahead of us. he’s letting his man crush blind him.

Should I try to become a Timbo of Mavs Moneyball, i.e. a contributing writer like Timbo on the Lakers site :)
3 posts per week minimum. The site is in disarray since the managing editor has gone into hiding during the offseason for undisclosed reasons. The replacement (brother of the editor of the Rockets blog) brought in by SBN when they realized viewers and contribution numbers where dropping rapidly didn’t exactly receive a warm welcome from readers who unloaded their frustration on him for lack of content. Then he made the mistake of going on vacation for a week with telling SBN but not the readers of the site who started making their own game day threads for pre-season. And Marie declined to become editor when asked by SBN. It’s a hot mess at the moment.

Unlike American Idol and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire...
Amazing Race and Survivor never caught on in most countries in Europe at all.
Probably. Cowell & Co. have a lot of dumb but vaguely entertaining ideas.
Just funny how some ideas spread like wildfire and others never catch on – in both directions. “Millionaire” remained much more popular e.g. in Scandinavia, Germany, Austria than in the US. But nobody cared for watching people in a fake survival situation where you know the crew gets catering :)
Actually, no.
It first aired on Swedish Television in 1997 as Expedition: Robinson. It was, however, produced by a British chap, Charlie Parsons.
It moved to the US in 2000 (produced by Mark Burnett, who had previously produced the Eco Challenge race series and TV shows), became a huge hit, and moved to the UK in 2001.

I heard a rumor that Al Jeff was the missing link
The missing link that caused the AIDs virus to jump from monkey to man, that is!!!
I haven't had the same luck in my league.
I just traded Igoudala, Camby and Salmons for B.Roy and Amare Stoudemire.
I am the law!
The way I see it;
Neither Camby nor Salmons will be able to repeat their numbers from last year (Camby is old and always hurt and Salmons is on a new team with established players at his position), while Amare is returning from injury and should return to form with the returning uptempo offense.
Igoudala should be better though, with Andre Miller gone.
I am the law!
I agree
Salmons spent the first 2/3rds being the best player on a bad team and Kevin Martin was hurt most of the year, so it was Salmons or nuthin’ for the Kings. And then he joined a Bulls team with Deng being hurt.
I think he’ll still be good, but not as good as last season. Good time to sell high.
Camby gets hurt so often, and may see his numbers get cut into because of Blake, OR because of age. Sold high there too.
Amare will at least put up a ton of numbers, and Roy will be Roy. Iggy is the price ya paid to get Amare AND Roy. I think it could be good… as long as you aren’t hurting for steals.
Whoa I didn't even notice
You’ll have negative assists some nights.

Gross.
Yeah
Ann won’t like this, but I also fake cover my mouth when I sneeze. Instead I bend over towards the ground and make it look like I’m covering my mouth, but instead I’m just sneezing towards the ground. Outside, I just turn and shoot it away from anyone I’m near. Sometimes I find stuff on my shoes.
if I cover up a sneeze, it's with my elbow.
i never got the point of sneezing in to your hands. why would I want to blow snot all over my hands? i don’t even like sneezing in my elbow but if i’ve got no other place to direct it, i gotta do what i gotta do.

Nuggets and Jazz without a key rotation player for at least 7 games. It would be a really bad year to start slow.

I know they will try
He will get injured. JJ33 (if he is still that out there) can be counted on for that.
Also, Spolestra is loving Cook’s game right now.
I can't believe Haywood got dropped in a 20 team league.
That’s madness. Haywood is a replacement level fantasy player in a 12 team league.
Haha, I sprung into action as soon as I saw him dropped
But I am too high on the waiver list. Cabby got him.
I am going to watch you all stare in amazement when he doesn’t play a third of the season. And you will all wonder.. how did Idol know?
I stick to my statement
That belief only makes sense if you TRADE him now. If you drop him, it doesn’t matter if ya wait till he’s hurt.
I see where you are coming from
Maybe I should have used my belief to trade him for something better than he’d be worth if he didn’t play.
pretty even deal
I don’t really get making deals at this point before any trades are made. You are getting the best player in the deal, which is always nice, and you are solid at C. Cloudy is taking a gamble that Lou Will breaks out, which is possible. I guess I give the Mort a slight edge.
I am pre-emptively solving my predicted problem of assists
I was totally gonna just wait till the season started, but Cloudy was open to it, and so I struck.
i think i'm not sure
if I can predict what problems I’ll have. I feel comfortable in steals, rebounds, and assists and think I’ll be competive in points. I know FT% will be an issue, and probably blocks also. I think my team seems pretty balanced though.

All I know is
This is a championship roster:
KIDD
WADE
JR SMITH
AK47
HASLEM
NENE
TYREKE
BONNER
McGEEK
DeROZAN
THEBEST
is he going to start this year?
I haven’t even followed.
In any case, he’ll play and get 3s- easily a player for a 20 team league.
Bonner does too
Plus 3’s.
There’s a reason Warrick is a mid-100s player! He gets mediocre points and rebounds.
He has.
I was comparing their upsides when I made that comment.
Warrick is starting on a new team, and is probably the most athletic player on his team.
The only thing that changed for Bonner was that they added Blair and McDyess.
I am the law!
Warrick might do great there
Even best case scenario he’s a two stat guy in the two easier stats to get— scoring and rebounding.
I HATE WARRICK SO MUCH, BONNER F4VER
To be honest with you.
Bonner would be so much better if he wasn’t SCARED OF THE BALL.

I am the law!
That fear is what makes him such a deadly 3 point shooter
He didn’t even know he could make the shot before last season, but he was passed the ball at the top of the key and he SQUEALED and went EEKS and throw the ball away… making the 3 point shot.
The rest is RANKED #78 IN THE WHOLE FANTASY WORLD history.
I'm kicking myself.
I should have somehow worked “recoil in fear” into my post above. It’s just a more accurate statement.
I am the law!
im tempted to take a chance on Taj Gibson
he’s averaging a double double in the preseason for Chicago. Rumor was Vinny was considering starting Gibson instead of Thomas because Thomas and noah don’t play well together or something.
I doubt he starts but if he gets minutes i imagine he will get boards and blocks just like he did at USC
"Your best?!?!! Losers always whine about their best. Winners go home and &^%@ the prom queen"

not sure
I was just looking at who was still available and I recognized Taj’s name so I looked him up to see what the deal was with him in Chicago
"Your best?!?!! Losers always whine about their best. Winners go home and &^%@ the prom queen"
Without the rebounds that make Murphy special
Bonner gets a lot of 3’s and has center eligibility. He will have the same role this year.
Last round pick in a 20 team league, he’ll prove everyone wrong.
Wesley Matthews?
dude from marquette, right? what team is he with?

by DrivetheLane on Oct 23, 2009 2:27 PM PDT up reply actions
He understands that he didn't play well, so it doesn't come as a total surprise to him.
Same with Joel. Still his self-image is that of a starter and game changer.
How long will this still be a Nate team?
(If I read Simmons right, he predicts Nate will get fired this year)
I think he gets fired if we don't make the 2nd roun
and if we go 41-41, you better believe he gets fired.
Unless massive injuries happened
Which is what it’ll take to get 41 and 41 to me.
Even if Roy goes down for 3 months, we got Miller now. He can run a team.
Yeah, 41-41 and putting the Spurs above the Lakers was just done to create traffic for his post
I didn’t pay attention if he also screwed a team in the East. Probably the Raptors.
I like some of the points he makes, he just draws way too far out conclusions.
I can't be upset with someone not thinking we are awesome
But going that far is because he knows how we react, and we will comply in full force because we are all nerds.
He is playing the odds
Bulls, New Orleans, GSW, etc etc.
It is tough for a young team to really break through.
I get the paper, so I don't care!
sorta, I guess.
We don’t contend for a top spot year in year out. We recently did it once and got tossed from the first round.
I am not saying it won’t happen, but in his mind it is more likely we get pushed back down like the other teams not named Spurs and Lakers.
I get the paper, so I don't care!
We got a long way to go still
But most of those young teams never even hit 50 wins. And New Orleans was never as young as people made them out to be.

by EvilKaramazov on Oct 23, 2009 2:48 PM PDT up reply actions
Yeah
I think Miller sees both sides of it. I think it’s unfortunate for him personally that he is not starting. A pride thing, mostly. It reads like he knows he’s going to the main point guard at some point.
yep.
he is the best PG on the team. He knows it. He knows everyone else knows it. Starting is just a title. doesn’t mean much other than that.
by DrivetheLane on Oct 23, 2009 3:05 PM PDT up reply actions
It is an important title to a lot of guys though
I can see him having a tough time with it for now, but time heals all wounds— both passage of time, and minutes on the floor.
If he plays, if we’re winning, problems go away.
I mean, if he comes off the bench and plays 25 to 28 minutes a night,
he could be a 6th man candidate.
true.
and that’s what’s gonna happen too. I see him getting 25 to 28 and Blake the rest. Not as drastic as what was happening to Batum last season, but similar plan. Plus, after a few weeks, I think Dre will take Blake’s 4th quarter minutes. Dre and Roy will find a way to make it work when the game is on the line.

NBA Fastbreak is hilariously unintentional comedy. And they have lined up the panel in skin color tone from left to right.
Don’t know, Adande, Broussard, Bucher, Stein.

I really hope the games start streaming on Blazers.com soon.

get rid of hollinger and add C Webb

who is the “host” of that show??

The only way I tolerate Simmons on that show
Is if he has to wear a ball gag. Before you sign him up for a show, try listening to his radio show. It is damn near as unbearable as Canzano’s
I am the law!
maybe he'd just have regular guest where he makes fun of everyone, especially Pelton
and then the panel gets to rip into him.

from Bill Simmons (I didn't bother to see if someone else posted this)
The “You Thought We’d Take Another Leap, But Instead We Went Backward Because Expectations Were Too High, We Tinkered With Our Chemistry And Our Young Guys Tuned Out Their Coach” Team
(Ladies and gentlemen, your 2009-10 Portland Trail Blazers!)
OK, Blazers fans, let’s make a wager. O/U is 53.5. If Blazers go over, I’ll change my Twitter background to an Oden dunk for 2010 playoffs.
WHO CARES ABOUT TWITTER.
What a douche.

by The Arkitect on Oct 23, 2009 5:08 PM PDT up reply actions
The over/under is the Vegas line. And he wants Blazers fans to change their background to a Miller 41-41 background if they are worse than that.
yeah, i just read that… he could make the Pic Kobe giving Ben a backrub and I’d take that bet at 41-41

Nuthin’ but trollin’ for our boy Bill. He’s not even bothering to hide it now.

Western Conference
1. San Antonio, 64-18
2. L.A. Lakers, 63-19
3. Utah, 51-31
4. New Orleans, 48-34
5. Dallas, 46-36
6. L.A. Clippers, 45-37
7. Houston, 44-38
8. Denver, 44-38
9. Phoenix, 43-39
10. Zombies, 42-40
11. Portland, 41-41
12. Golden State, 28-54
13. Memphis, 24-58
14. Minnesota, 22-60
15. Sacramento, 15-67
who does this guy think he is? And where do I get in the stabbin' line

he's got the zombie Sonics above .500
he’s got the Yao-less (and might as well be McGrady-less) Rockets at 44 wins
and even the Nuggets also at 44
I honestly laughed aloud when I saw Portland at 41-41. That was after thinking that I misread the top 8 3 times and just could find where he put the Blazers….then I scrolled down.

Yeah I agree
I would give it all up for a billion dollars
by Tyler Durrden on Oct 23, 2009 5:24 PM PDT up reply actions
It's nothing but a popularity contest with him.
As a Celtic fan, he can’t put the LA on top, and I’m sure he has a whole host of other personal reasons to rank the teams like he did. For example, “Kevin Durant likes the same movies that I do, and he offered to watch Gossip Girl with me, so I can’t rank OKC below PDX.” or “Jason Kidd made eye contact with me once, so Dallas is better than Denver.”
What stands out to me is that he put Portland as dead last among all WC teams that are .500 or above. Which means absolutely nothing except that Portland is his least favorite contender out west.
I am the law!
Its was posted higher up, but I don't mind addressing it again
I, for one, don’t think that it is that much of a stretch to give the Blazers that title. They really are the only team in the league that fits that description. How many teams do people think will take another leap? Oklahoma? Winning 30 games will be a leap for them and you can’t go too far backwards from 23 wins.
I am not saying it is even likely, but the Blazers seem to have many of the same components that teams that have turned on their coaches before have had.
That said the 41-41 prediction is just plain foolish.
well yeah, if we're the only team that potentially fits that description
but that’s sorta tautologous
yeah, if he wants to predict the Blazers slide a bit this year, the prediction should be something like 46 wins.
And I could buy that as a prediction
It isn’t like his season ending predictions are all that accurate. He was off by 10 wins or more for 9 teams (almost 1/3 of the league) last year
Knew it had to be coming. What a PR disaster that could have been.
TV fans would have loved seeing Kobe pick up 3 quick fouls in the 1st quarter.

I doubt you could get 2 picks in that area
firstly, because no one will own 2 picks in that area
and
secondly, because the 3rd pick isn’t worth that much
I agree for both reasons
Although the 3rd pick is almost worth that much, I should check the trade machine on that.
And someone could theoretically arrange a deal with someone trying to get out of the first round to pick a second one up, but why would anyone do that?
I also thought about seeing if you would swap 2nd and 3rd and how much that would cost, but I think it’ll be too costly.
yeah, you would have to pay a premium to move up that one slot
the difference between Lebron or CP3 and the mash up of guys available at 3 is huge.

Don't remember
They sucked and San Diego wasn’t a three sports franchise city. The Padres and the Chargers were always embraced more; the Clippers seemed less popular than the San Diego Soccers and the Gulls.
But the Clippers went to LA Sports Arena, which sucks, so I know it wasn’t one of those build it or we will leave scenarios.
yep it's san diego. the center circle on the floor says so. Lakers on a lame tour of southern cal.
Did I hear that all of the lakers preseason games were in southern cal?

SO TRUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
10. The Law of Exclamation
First recorded in an article by Lori Robertson at FactCheck.org in 2008, this states: “The more exclamation points used in an email (or other posting), the more likely it is a complete lie. This is also true for excessive capital letters.”
It is reminiscent of the claim in Terry Pratchett’s Discworld novels that the more exclamation marks someone uses in writing, the more likely they are to be mentally unbalanced.
According to Pratchett, five exclamation marks is an indicator of “someone who wears their underwear on the outside”.

hahaha true, we should cut him some slack
this was my 2nd FBB team ever, and the first one I did was Rotisserie, so H2H is new to me.
I just spent the week before the draft studying and all that jazz for it, and I think I came out OK

question for anyone that might know.
i just got a new laptop tonight. now i want to get my music into itunes from my ipod. i’ve heard that if you connect an ipod with stuff on to an empty itunes, it will delete everything off the ipod. true? is there a way to import stuff to itunes directly from the ipod?
there is I believe a way. You have to look up how to do it on apple's website. It is complicated and time consuming. My girlfriend did it when she got her new laptop.
I would give it all up for a billion dollars
by Tyler Durrden on Oct 23, 2009 9:47 PM PDT up reply actions
it will only erase everything if you have it set to auto sync
by Starvin' Marvin on Oct 23, 2009 9:47 PM PDT up reply actions
i'll give it a shot.
i still have the old laptop with my itunes on it so it’s backed up if need be. i’m just looking for the quick, lazy way :)
by DrivetheLane on Oct 23, 2009 9:49 PM PDT up reply actions
I used an external HD to transfer all my itunes stuff when i got a laptop
by Starvin' Marvin on Oct 23, 2009 9:50 PM PDT up reply actions
so i turned off auto sync and connected the ipod
looks like all my music is still on the ipod. so now i could just click sync right?
by DrivetheLane on Oct 23, 2009 9:53 PM PDT up reply actions
doesn't look like that will work.
this thing has windows 7 so maybe that means i won’t be able to see the itunes drive those instructions mention.
