Sounds like a good first half
I haven’t been listening to most of it, but when you’re up three on the defending Co-Division Champs without LA and Rudy, that’s pretty good.

I'd start Miller-Roy in the 2nd half
they need more time on the floor together…don’t leave it up to “chance”

I have two views
1) Don’t sign him and let the RFA market determine his value (which we match if deemed worthy)
2) LA explodes this year and winds up deserving a max deal, which means we could have had him cheaper.
Okay, how about this
We like LA and he goes 18-8 (very reasonable) but some team, desperate for missing out on the Lebron’s and Wades of the market, offers him a max deal anyway.
Do we match him for a max deal or do we let him walk despite him being a key player with no viable replacement and being over the cap?

Iwould prefer it didn'tcome to that but I also think giving a large deal to LaMarcus would be a disaster.

what happens if you max roy, aldridge and then oden? You could be at the salary cap right there,

Rashard Lewis got a max deal and he wasn’t all that much more effective than Lamarcus has been. Different game and well suited to play next to D-Ho, obviously, but I could see some team offering a max deal. Tweaking Pritchard would probably be a bonus for some GMs. It would make things very interesting for Greg.

There won’t be enough looks for Lamarcus for his stats to explode this year. Miller + improved GO = less shots for LMA.
Hopefully his efficiency and rebounding step up a notch and he consistently plays like he did the second half of last season.
No reason for the Blazers to overpay – they hold all the cards with RFA.

the first one on oden was questionable, the rest pretty much earned. b roy is getting them so fast it’s hard to tell. the players are having a really hard time reading the refs. not a ton of consistency. so i guess, in sum, yeah pretty much but across the board it’s not been a great show from the refs

That's true
but we saw last year how this will (or more aptly, won’t) work. The bottom line is Greg needs to learn how to play with/avoid fouls, as well as adapt to refs. He won’t do that from the bench, imo. Nate needs to change it up

I turned to the fans behind me. It was a call the refs made because they thought it looked like a foul. Greg did not even come close to making contact. It was like watching someone face a player up and getting called for a charge. It was worse than when the guy ran into Brandon Roy for Brandons 5th foul.
They called that a screen on Brandon. You kidding me? He had the ball in his hands and they called him for setting an illegeal screen. Worst refs ever.

I actually very much enjoy WNBA games.
The finals were pretty exciting. Diana Taurasi, Cappie Pondexter, Penny Taylor, Tamika Catchings and Katie Douglas are ballers.
