What does DWIGHT JAYNES think?!

I'm sure most of you who glue your eyes to this site also pan through the Godfather's site as well from time to time. And maybe some of you have read his article telling us to chill out about Greg Oden's early success. So here's my challenge to you and to him – so far Greg Oden has had spectacular numbers, – especially when you look at his production per minutes played. Dwight told us to cool off about him. Okay, i bought into that. So by the same theory, we should cool down about being a bit worried (as i'm sure you all are) about Brandon Roy's LACK of production – especially after that fat contract.

What do you guys think? Aside from reminiscing and saying how great it was that Schonz did the game and the Memorial Coliseum brought back memories so thick, Dwight had brush them away ( a la James Earl Jones in Field of Dreams ) – what will he take away from this game: More smoke and mirrors from Greg or Don't worry about Brandon Roy? – or worry about both, we should never ever be content!

Funny thing about Jaynes...

…he’ll consistently get under my skin when he’s writing, yet he sounds fairly reasonable on radio or tv. Whatever the case, I learned long ago to take anything he writes w/ the usual degree of skepticism.

Dwight thinks he'll take the soup AND the salad at Olive Garden.

My favorite teams are the Blazers and any team that is playing the Lakers.

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.

OK, that should just about wrap up the goaltending discussion.
