The only good thing about this video is that Paul Allen was one of only two NBA owners to vote against the team leaving Seattle
it's cause he and mark cuban are the only two with enough cajones to stand up against stern.
and probably for economic reasons as well…
"There are a few teams you have to watch out for in the fourth quarter."
"Yeah, but Portland definitely is not one of them."
-New Orleans Hornets broadcasters at the end of the third quarter with the Hornets leading 74-59. Portland later ends up winning 97-89.
"They don't mind him shooting that shot at all. Rudy Fernandez is not that great of a 3pt shooter."
-New Orleans Hornets broadcasters right after a Rudy Fernandez missed 3pter. Rudy Fernandez finished the game with three 3pters on six attempts.

What you mean is
it’s cause Mark Cuban is a loudmouth who does not agree with anybody on anything, and Paul Allen owns a team in that city. If not, they’d probably be just as apathetic as any other NBA owners.

Do you think Paul Allen voted no just so Seahawks fans wouldn’t boo him? Possibly. Of all the owners (besides the OKC rascals) he was most likely to profit from the Sonics leaving. Fewer pro sports teams in Seattle concentrate fan dollars towards football and those other guys that run around bases and whatnot. Fewer basketball teams in the NW creates more Blazer fans in the region.
I still think Schultz unfairly escapes blame instead heaped on Bennett et al.
I say that without having watched the film. Maybe he gets skewered.
The cowards never started
The weak died along the way
Only the strong survived
They were the Trailblazers
Schultz gets hit real hard in the film
Bennett is definitely portrayed as a bad guy, but at least the film-makers seem to respect his intelligence/manipulations on some level.
Schultz, on the other hand, is portrayed as a dunce who did not know what he was doing with an NBA franchise, as well as a traitor. I would say that he actually comes out looking the worst to a person who was only a casual observer of the Sonics downfall at the time, because I already knew Bennett was a villain, but I didn’t know the extent of Schultz’s failure.
It had nothing to do with cojones.
For Mark Cuban, he voted no for economic reasons.
For Paull Alen, he voted no for public relation reasons.
Well, that’s that.
Stupid people have stupid ideas.
Man, I just butchered Paul Allen's name.
Nevertheless, his “no” vote had absolutely nothing to do with bollocks. Likewise, the owners who voted “yes” weren’t necessarily spineless; instead, they did what was in their best interest, which I’m in no place to criticize as an equally selfish individual.
When it’s all said and done, Howard Schultz definitely deserves most of the blame. Everyone else had a rational reason for their actions, while Schultz’s actions were that of an incomptent dolt and two-timing sellout who committed treason of the highest order in my book.
Stupid people have stupid ideas.
And I’m really surprised it is a 28-2 team vote. I would think that it would be 27-2. Why should Seattle/OC get a say in their own issue?

It just makes me hate the OKC Thunder
even more. First Durant, now this. I’m sure there’s a good witch doctor in Seattle who has put a curse on the team from ever winnning a championship as long as they reside in OKC.
I miss our rivals
And I hope some city, such as say Memphis, loses its team to them and right soon.

The problem is that OKC owns the Sonics' banners, retired jerseys, etc.
The Thunder say that Sonics history is “their” history. So even if Seattle got a new team, would it be the Sonics? Maybe that doesn’t matter, but I think it does — especially since the initial fanbase of any new team would be formed by people who had been dedicated to the Sonics for years.
Yes it would
Its like the deal the NFL made with the Cleveland Browns when they moved to Baltimore. Although it is the same franchise, the Ravens have their own records and the expansion Browns inherited the old records from the former team.

I forget the details now
But basically there’s an agreement where if Seattle gets a new NBA team within a set amount of time, they get to keep the colors, name, banners and all that.
oh, ok. That's good then.
Let’s just hope any move to bring a team to Seattle wouldn’t be as much of a fiasco as the one that took its team away.
Well done videos
I watched them both yesterday, and it was really captivating. Quite a bit I didn’t know, great interviews… A good watch, but a sad watch.
Grew up in Eastern Washington and was a Downtown Freddie Brown fan!
It's very sad
Hopefully Seattle gets another teamed and they maintain the SuperSonics name.

This was a great watch
Dude!, what's wrong with you? Why you gotta be holding a corn dog when I go for a high-five??
Amazing Video.
Watched them both.. Can’t help to think if this had happened to the Blazers.. Wow.. Feel so sorry for the Seattle fans… they deserve a new team… FAST
