i dont think you can make a case for anyone for the all star game

until certain stats are accumulated and games are played.

That's not true.

No stats, no games, just put him in the All Star game right now and maybe later give him the MVP.

i am saying how it SHOULD be

not how it is

Kobe, LeBron, CP3, Wade etc

are all considered ‘in’ based on assumed production so I don’t necessarily see the difference in making this argument. Sure those played assumed production is based on an impressive historical body of work so the case is more obvious but analysis over the chance’s of a lesser player getting into an All-Star team is surely permittable isn’t it?

Especially when its Greg! : P

Also

Yao will be voted in while he is sitting on the Rockets bench injured so your want for ‘stats’ and ‘games’ is really rather irrelevant.

Hah!

I had thought that you might not

be aware that there was more to this than:
Oden
All Star
comments?
My apologies for any misunderstandings or construed rudeness. There was none intended.

No construd rudeness

Simply trying to simplify the debate…..simple really

Understand the article goes into more depth – thought it was a good read.

Just having a bit of fun is all – big fan of sarcasm

The word "Oden"

is actually a link that takes you to an interesting article about Greg Oden and how good he could be based upon his phenomenal high school and college career. It also examines his stats and compares them to such people as Tim Duncan and David Lee. If you read the article you may also find a survey of 5’s on numerous Western conference teams and their prospects of playing in the All Star game.

When I clicked on the link it wouldn't load

I guess the case hasn’t really been made yet.

Will this season ever start?

I can tell you how to make an Excel spreadsheet that proves Portland wins 62 games this year.

It would do the league some good to get Oden some exposure. He's certainly more exciting to watch

develop than Bynum. God knows that team doesn’t need anymore exposure. The league shoves them down our throats all year long.
