Equal Media Opportunity - Miller & Blake

What's the deal with the media following Andre Miller, but not covering Steve Blake?  Miller has been interviewed several times over the past 2 months since he signed; Blake has had just one interview.  Everyone made a big deal about Miller's response to Media Day - where was Blake?  Where were the media following him?

I say let's be fair, and ask Steve Blake the same questions Miller is being asked: ask Blake if he expects to start, if he's content on the bench, if he thinks he has the track record to back up his ability to start.

Don't jump on Andre and ignore Steve.  Whatever happened to "equal opportunity"?

I thought they brought Miller here for..

Some veteran leadership, and to help Portland win a championship by any means possible. Why is he acting like the most imature man on a team of young, hungry for action players.
Does he still have to worry about me. me. me Has he not had enough fame and fortune… does he still need to be a starter to satisfy his ego… I mean he is good, and he could really help this team a lot. (with the right attitude)
Grow up and try to do anything that the coach thinks may help him to actually play for a contending team. You’d think at this stage of his carrer he would do anything for
$7 million, and a chance at a ring. How many more years does he think he has.
He should be mega grateful for the chance he has been given by the Blazers.
But maybe starting is just more important to him than wining. Nice example for the youngsters. Maybe portland should trade him to Charlette or Memphis… So he could be a starter. Blazer fans need to wake up and demand some professionalism from their new PG. Its not like he is Hall of Fame material.

Hey, I just read that.

I think it's in about 4 or 5 different posts, including its own...

Did you see my comment

explaining that all this was just to take the heat off of Travis? Andre is really a good guy.

I can tell you how to make an Excel spreadsheet that proves Portland wins 62 games this year.

Andre is the new fluffy kitten on team

And Steve is the scraggly old cat. I’m not talking the league or years I’m talking for the Blazers. Steve’s known on the blazers, Andre is new and flurry and big bright eyes, but OUCH! He keeps scratching me when I try to pet him…

All the while old scraggly Steve is trying the lick the knots out of his fur….

"No disrespect to Jeff Blake"

How bout a Coal Miners Glove match?..

Between Steve and Andre… We can get Sandy Barr to referee… Two outta Three falls or to a TV time limit… It’ll be great. Andre’s crafty but Steve’s wiry and has MMA experience… Winner gets the job…

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.

OK, that should just about wrap up the goaltending discussion.
