Has Comcast blocked the Blazers' plan to stream games?
Canzano's article seems to indicate that they have!
"People in large areas of Oregon still can’t get the games. Throw in that Comcast SportsNet blacked out the Blazers games on DirecTV’s NBA season pass. Throw in, too, that the regional network blocked a plan to have the Blazers games delivered over the internet."
Is that BIG news, or just old news that John is rehashing? Somebody needs to email Sarah Mensah and get to the bottom of this

Old News.
I think the blacked out games are the same ones that have been blacked out since Comcast Sports Net started airing Blazer games. For those of us out of the area, it isn’t a big deal, but the DirecTV NBA Season Pass has been blocked out in the “Comcast Viewing Area” (whatever that means) since its inception.

I could be wrong...
But Canzano is claiming that the newly formed plan to stream all blazer games on blazers.com has been blocked by comcast. The blackout area junk is old news, but blocking the blazers effort to provide all fans with a means to watch blazers games is new, I believe. Could comcast be any more evil?

Yes, that is my concern. Has anyone heard an oficial announcement of this? Maybe someone can tweet Ben, Casey or someone else “with knowledge” from the Blazers

He is just making stuff up, as usual.

Proxy sites
Even if they block direct access to games online, you should be able to jump on a proxy site and still be able to stream the games regardless if Comcast puts a block in the Portland area.

his article makes it sound like it's CSN's choice to black the games out
I’m pretty sure it’s a league rule that you cannot view the games of the team in the local market on League Pass. MLB has a similar rule for their Extra Innings package.

so are the Blazers only offering streamed games
to folks with addresses outside the Portland metro “radius”? That still affects a lot of people who can’t get Comcast

International League Pass Broadband
You don’t have to watch live, either, you can watch the next day. Gives you access not just to the Blazers, but to other games as well, if you have time to watch them.
I can tell you how to make an Excel spreadsheet that proves Portland wins 62 games this year.
