Martell Webster ... DNP - Coach's Decision?

I know that I am probably worried for no reason at all but, is Martell OK?  I thought I heard on the BFT after the last Sacramento game that they saw Martell with a visible limp.  They seemed to think that it was not an issue but then he doesn't play in the next game.  Has anybody heard anything about Martell not playing last night?  I think that he is about as big a piece as there is in the Blazers hopes to improve on last season.  Plus, I just like Martell and would hate for the guy to have to deal with another injury.

Thats good to hear...

that it wasn’t anything major. I am sure that he is going to be dealing with small things like this for most of the season after not playing for so long. I just hope that he is able to stay healthy enough this season to get back into the swing of things. His outside shooting is going to open things up for oden and aldridge so much. Can’t wait for the “real” games to start!

Morty said he was bouncing around

and guarding players during the pre-game workouts

just a precaution, and to give the other wings more time to play

When reached 39 years of following Portland basketball you have, be as passionate of the Trail Blazers you will not!

Agreed

I saw him limping at the game after falling down on Tuesday. He came back strong though. Probably just a little sore. No need to push it.

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.

OK, that should just about wrap up the goaltending discussion.
