While I may miss the chuckster

I won’t miss him very much.

But Marv Albert set the precedent—if a basketball talking head gets caught doing something naughty, he gets to spend a year or so in the time-out chair. Barkley’s tenure may well be longer; even though he’s funny, he’s nowhere near Marv on the Greatness of Basketball Commentators scale.

Barkley won't have to spend that much time away from TV

Marv…..well he did some freaky and wrong things in a completely different arena. Barkley got drunk and made some lewd comments. While he may have underlying problems, there are dozens of people in professional sports who are caught under the influence. He will get things in order, make some kind of apology, and get back to it.

Vinny Del Negro interviewed for the job today. I mean come on! Nobody else thinks this is nuts?
