The Real Story Behind Rasheed's Absence
While it will go down in the history books as a "DNP - Foot Injury", the real reason why Rasheed could not play is as follows:
One All-Star member of The Q4 drank 'Sheed under the table Tuesday night at Hollywood Bowl.
You read that correct. Rasheed's foot was feeling just peachy to pick up that seven-ten split on his way to an excellent (nay, surperb) long night of bowling, but thanks to an All-Pro line-up of members from The Q4 and McFaddens, Rasheed just could not keep up beverage wise and bowed out to the combined might of Blazermania.
Huge congrats to our boys tonight. Nothing like a comeback victory from 14 points down to drive the Pistons fans out of the arena who suspicious left halfway through the 4th quarter never to return after they had been talking up a storm throughout the first three and a half quarters. What now Detroit Fan. What now.
For those of you keeping score at home:
The Q4: 3-0
Jeff Van Gundy: Zero, Zilch, Nada
Local Blazer's Edge fan favorite and banned from half of the local sport radio airwaves Blazermaniac Andy: We're looking forward to those pics and those sweet Air Jordans you won. Way to step up tonight.
As Bill Schonely says: It's Rip-Rip-Rip City Baby!
Go Blazers!

Seems Simple Enough
Situation: Rasheed did not play against the Blazers. ESPN listed him as “DNP – Foot Injury.” But is that the real reason for Rasheed not playing…?
Fact: Rasheed was seen bowling for hours on end Tuesday night. His foot appeared to be just fine to rack up the spares and strikes and pick up the tough splits.
Fact: A local group of Blazer fans had an impromptu drinking contest with Rasheed, and won, drinking Rasheed under the table in impressive fashion.
Fact: Blazers win. Thanks to clutch Outlaw shooting and Blazers fans sacrificing their bodies (and livers) for the greater good and making sure Rasheed was a non-factor even before the game started.
Conclusion: The “DNP – Foot Injury” is incorrect and should have actually read “DNP – Hangover” which is the real reason for his absence Wednesday night (and possibly his other DNPs earlier).
Case Closed.
Important Notes:
1. Local BEdge contributor Blazermaniac Andy was focused for the game.
2. Jeffy VanGundy fails at life and is awarded no points.
3. Pistons fans bailed out of the game last night at the first sign their team was in trouble.
4. Bill Schonely is a Blazer Believer.
5. The Q4 (local Blazer fans, not foreign musicians) wins again.
Simple enough! Go Blazers!

True statement
Nice fellow. Unfortunately, he was a Pistons fan. The good news is that the season is still young enough to turn the Detroit fan down the path that rocks (a.k.a. down the path paved with red and black pinwheels).
Also, you are 100% correct in that BMA is only in trouble with half of the local sports radio stations. The other half welcome him with open arms as you mentioned.

This post made no sense.
It’s like it was sent to the past by a time-traveling Yogi Berra. Just disoriented and wrong.

He was in town Monday night too
I was out drinking with a bunch of my friends and I decided to call it an early night and went home at midnight. My friends ended up going to the boom boom room and I got a drunken call around 1:30 in the morning from my excited friends reporting that sheed was sitting at the bar at the boom boom room enjoying the environment. They said if the game was tuesday and not wednesday they would have approached sheed and tried to get him to drink with them, then would have bought him an excess of drinks.

Visiting teams will need a new game plan.
Now, teams coming into the Garden will have to make a game plan for Roy’s left handed drives, Rudy’s three point shooting, and crazed Blazer fans trying to get their players drunk the night before. We aren’t the sixth man for nothing!
