I hope the meeting with Outlaw pays off

doesn't matter that much
Units get mixed and matched anyway. Rudy and Bayless have to play better… no matter who they are playing with. If they keep throwing up bricks like against LA, there’s nothing Nate can do.

I know this..
But I want them to win tonight, and with Rudy starting it’s less likely to happen.

Rudy will still play minutes with the reserves
You don’t have to keep the units the same the whole game.

REALLY? I Had NO Idea!
Wait, what’s basketball again?
Geez dude, I’m not saying he WONT play with them. I think that the first few minutes of the game is kind of important for the momentum. And maybe, just maybe, starting Bayless would be a nice change.
OK, back to being a dumb, un-basketball educated female.

sorry
Didn’t mean to insinuate you were dumb.
I don’t see how Bayless starting would help— he’s been absolutely terrible this year. Rudy is the better player, thus he should play more minutes. I personally don’t see the beginning of the game being any more important than any other part (and if I did, I’d want my best players in the game, and that’s not Rex).

bayless
Bayless’ game is a little like Roy’s. He can drive and finish. I think it’d be cool to give him the start. The only problem I’ve had with Bayless’ game this year is that he looks hesitant. I’m not sure starting would really help that though, I guess.

i’ve only seen Bayless finish two maybe three times as a blazer….
But yes he can drive.
Rudy on the other hand can kind of drive (not as well as JBay) when he chooses to, and almost always finishes on those rare times he does drive.
I agree that Bayless LOOKS little a baby Roy out there, but he is still massively lacking in production ability.

he can drive...
he hasn’t finished so far this year. thats not to say he can’t or won’t in the future, but to say that he can now after the limited amounts of him that we have seen is wrong.

Its hard to look good
from the bench.
The kid needs time to get used to playing the game before we all make a snap judgement on how he is playing.

Hey!
OK, back to being a dumb, un-basketball educated female.
What kind of a sexist comment is that?
Why should the females be any different from the dumb, un-basketball educated males?
That’s part of the problem in this world, the women always want to think they are better than the men.

Man oh man
No, just certain people on here argue stupid points that I doubt would be brought up if I was male.
You don’t have to keep the units the same the whole game.
Comments like that put me on the defense. He aplogized, it’s all good, and you are still future ruler of the world, oh mighty one.

I know, I know
Just stirring the pot a little.
But really, people say lots of things like that to guys, too. There’s a lot of non-basketball banter back and forth between male and female on here, but when it comes to basketball talk, I haven’t really noticed much distinction. And Snake isn’t a guy who insults or talks down to people generally. I just haven’t seen it.
Actually, some of the “dumb females” make some really astute basketball comments around here. I’m not going to say which ones, because sometimes they are insufferable enough as it is.

I think its the right move, Bayless can’t hit a shot out there, we need someone to start and end the game who can make those big time shots.

well...
let’s just pray that Rudy finally gets through this weird slump that he’s been in.

its hard
i originally thought putting bayless in there would work…but now that i think about it…it’d be tough. there would be 3 rookie starters…all who are pretty limited in their offensive production. of course by doing this we would increase the scoring potential on our bench, but blake and lma alone can’t handle all of the offense. blake can find players for the easy score, but i don’t think hes that great of a distributor to make plays for batum, jerryd, and oden. thats a lot to handle.

Playing with Bayless is killing Sergio's game
Out of 10 possessions wih Bayless, Sergio gets the ball maybe once for a pick and roll, other wise he is relegated to standing in the corner or feeding the balls to our bigs or wings for ISOs. It’s horrible to watch. Bayless dominating the ball would be great if he was scoring—but boy, he sure is not scoring. I think it is typical of Nate, that when Bayless is in with Sergio, almost all the plays are run for Bayless.
Nevermind that Sergio has played great as the leader of the second unit, now he is just a spot-up shooter, clearly a recipe for disaster and a great opportunity to destroy whatever momentum he had going this season. I have no problem with a Sergio/Bayless unit, but not where Bayless plays point! Come on, it really makes no sense.

doesn't that remind you of last year?
in sergios 9 mpgs he played pg less than half of the time with jack at the helm. Sergio at the point and Bayless at the 2 makes a lot more sense than the other way around.

just wanted to update my complaint
In the Detroit game, last night, Nate finally got it right in how he used Bayless and Sergio together, nullifying most of my above concerns. hooray!

Cheer up, he can still become man of the match. Btw, what is the Bayless face in “smilies”/emoticons?
