Hey guys, just thought about something and wanted to get the rest of your opinions on the matter. BEdgers are understandably of two minds regarding the trading deadline. Many of you (and me) would like to see RLEC maximized to get the best player we can get as soon as possible.
Unfortunately, I don't know that that player is there right now. Many of you want instead to reap the benefits of the insurance, reverse-SPAM, and just let things be. We have a good team right now, so why rock the boat-right?
What if we take a 3rd path and trade away RLEC and a 1st rounder (or combo including a few out of sergio/frye/diogu) for a package that has a sizable 2010 EC? Our team is pretty solid as it is, but it could stand to improvein the PG department (and SF for that matter depending on Webster's play when he gets back). Since the options at this deadline appear scarce, and the FA class at the end of this year is somewhat limited, maybe we should look to acquire an asset that could be traded in the offseason or early next season for even more.
Everyone wants to clear cap for 2010 to have a shot at the LeBrons, Boshs, and D-Wades of the league--so what say you BEdge, what should we do with RLEC?
I hope this is 75 words.
*EDIT* fixed the last option.
