Charlotte's Wallace in the hospital
After this collision does anyone still want Crash?
I hope he gets better fast. He'll be absolutely out for the game tomorrow.

Hopefully it's only a hurt rib.
People come back from that pretty easy. It will hurt the Bobcats to have him gone for a few weeks, but it wouldn’t matter much to us. Maybe this will drive his price down and KP can swing something.

My only fear is..
that he seems to have no regard for the safety of his body. This was a flagrant foul, so this is different. But I would be concerned that he’d be injured a lot.

He also has a history of concussions

yeah
but there is a lot of data that suggests the use of mouthguards prevents 95% of concussions.

maybe Wallace should stop taking it out of mouth and chewing the edge

Thats unfortunate
Still i dont think the blazers should underestimate the Bobcats, they have shown a lot of resolve in the past. didnt they sweep la this season after that victory last night on the road..
i'm pretty sure
that the bobcats have beaten the lakers 5 of the past 6 times.

It wasn't really a "hipcheck" like it says in the article
unless “hipcheck” now means elbowing a guy in the ribs hard as you can on a guy who’s leaping at the bucket at full speed.
Pretty much a total cheap shot by Bynum. Great game though, always fun to see the kobeteers lose. Also fun to see Kobe get ejected on a dubious touch foul, at home.
a dubious touch foul that was tripping
he tripped the guy on his way around. Then held his hands back as if he had been trying to avoid the guy all along. Very savvy but he didn’t get away with it, as he shouldn’t have. Amazingly I am giving credit to an NBA ref. – Elgin

Definitely don't want him now
He’s soft, bro. Soft.
How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck was on ice?
Tom only likes players who dunk in traffic AND kick the center in the nuts AND throw an elbow into the face of the best defender
His ideal player is not created yet, and would probably go by the name of Bruce Rondog Harperson-Evans.
His name is
Tyler Hansboro

Really?
I heard his name was “Chad Riprock” – and he’s currently suffering from severe ’roid rage at the age of 4.
Tough one
Wallace is a warrior. Hope he recovers quickly and it isn’t a broken rib or collapsed lung. Bynum should get fined, that was cheap.
Here' the video
Sure to be suspension for Bynum; the kind of play you hope you never see from a young inexperienced player.
It doesn't seem like that hard of a hit

He came over much too late and should have stayed away or at least upright, but it doesn't look like a flagrant 2. Maybe a flagrant 1
I hate it more when guys try to pull a player on the shoulder from behind.
Yeah
It wasn’t a nice foul but it honestly seems more like a glancing blow. After watching the video, I thought it was crazy that it caused such a severe injury.

I was surprised it was such a severe injury as well
That being said. I wouldn’t want to take a shot like that from Bynum.
Because I’m afraid of what I might do to him.

yea but there was no attempt at the ball
So the excessive contact was completely intentional and he should have been given a Flagrant 2. If he had been going for the ball and bodied him, and sent him to the floor this would have just been a simple foul, but he went straight for the body with a hard elbow, resulting in the broken rib.
