In his story about Brandon's monster dunk, Casey writes,
Side note: I want to declare my disdain for youtube highlight clips, especially those that originate via holding a camera up to a television. A lot of people work hard putting broadcasts and authorized web highlights together, and pirating that work is theft. Period.
I know we have lots of Blazer YT clips posted here and I'd like to hear how the posters respond to Casey. Is BlazersEdge liable for copyright infringement if they are posted here? Should only links be posted?
And only a slight tangent away are rules the Blazers sent to Season Ticket holders:
Guests agree not to transmit, distribute, or sell (or aid in transmitting, distributing or selling) any description, account, picture, video, audio, or other form of reproduction of the Event, or any surrounding activities (in whole of [sic] in part).
Does this mean we cannot post photos of games that we take in the Rose Garden? If it doesn't mean that, what does it mean? Ben posts photos and accounts - I assume because he's credentialed media (medium?). Exactly what do the Blazers mean by "descriptions" and "accounts"? If they are not enforcing these rules then why do they circulate them? SImply a CYA move?
