Still Burnin'

News Flash:  The Charlotte Bobcats defeated the Detroit Pistons 80-78 last night, as chronicled on our sister-blog RufusonFire.  One of the interesting things about this little blog-exchange this week is that it will give us a chance to really ramp up to Saturday's game.

Apparently Charlotte fans are having a love-hate relationship with Raymond Felton the way we are with some of our players.  Too talented to give up on, too unsteady to rely on.  Even more interesting...that same discussion is starting to surround Gerald Wallace.

Anyway, that's now 4 wins in the last 6 games for Charlotte.  Looks like they're prepping to face Portland with guns a-blazin'!

In advance, the road trip looked a bit like a cake walk

But slowly, every team is looking formidable.

This week should be a fun test for the team.

Yeah

Philly gets hot just before we arrive.

Charlotte is playing well.

Oh, well, we got the first one out of the way.

Yep.

Thanks to that first win, even if Portland only wins 1 of the next 3, they’d have a .500 road trip. That was all I really hoped for, going .500 on the road. Anything more is a bonus.

I was thinking 4 and 0

If Brandon starts feeling better, it should be no big deal winning these games. Oden keeps learning and growing and Outlaw has been on a hot streak lately. We’ll be fine.

Have you been banned from RufusonFire yet?

You’d probably have the distinction of being first.

I'm a Blazers fan and If you ban me from your blog, I'll sue you!

LOL

Sounds like someone who is bitter about the lovely weather the NW has been pelted with this winter. (BTW, it’s just after midnight here on the Big Island, it’s about 70 degress, and I am typing this with my windows open and wearing a tee shirt and shorts…..)

Hey now

I don’t live in Portland, and the high was around 65 today where I live.

But of course I love Hawaii, just being stupid.

SBN needs a "blog unsubscribe" function

I often would like to make one little comment or post, but then not see all new stories and posts on some Cavs or Hawks site forever under “my blogs” once I joined.

Just Get Banned

that’s my ethos. They you don’t have to worry about it.

by Bust a Bucket on Jan 14, 2009 2:56 AM PST up reply actions   0 recs

a) I don’t want an unsubscribe function, not get banned
b) Hypothetically speaking, would that remove the blog from my menu bar?
c) I think D-Wade is a ninny. Take that Peninsula is Mightier

I find it interesting that the two Bobcats ...

… most often mentioned here as guys Portland should trrade for are not seen as cornerstone players by Charlotte fans.

I'd join if he talked about the Blazers

Does he like lumpia? I love lumpia.
Does he like dinuguan? I like dinuguan.
Does he like balut? I don’t like balut. The white part is like eating an eraser and the other part tastes like Spam.

wait

you don’t like Spam, but you like dinuguan? tom, you are an enigma.

I like Spam

I would just rather eat Spam than a fertilized duck or chicken fetus. I love musubi. I like fried Spam in my mac n cheese too. I think you can get that at Montage in Portland.

True Story

Friends of mine went to Montage for dinner… apparently the chef was in a particularly bad mood that evening, because when their pasta came to the table, someone had used the marinara sauce to write the F word in big red letters on the top of one of the noodle orders.

And its the unly place in town I can think of where when you walk in, the hostess puts her joint down on the podium before showing you to your table…

has anybody ordered an “ex wife” from the bar?

OMG, I love lumpia. Half pinoy, I am. It’s all about the morcon.

Hmm, I'm surprised I haven't heard of that

My wife makes great spring rolls but she could never figure out lumpia so I buy it from Costco now.

just throwing this out there for discussion

but could the Bobcats win against the Pistons be due to the fact that Larry Brown is very familiar with all of the best players, less Stuckey, for the Pistons? Maybe this is a situation similar to the GSW bouncing the Mavs in the playoffs in 07?

Life is exhausting when you are this stupid.

Shav played in Philly for a couple of years

With most of these guys and you can bet what he knows about them is under discussion
