Any East Coast BEdgers going to Thursday's game?
As many here may know by now, I currently stand accused of crushing on the Blazers in the third degree (despite being a Celts diehard). While I maintain my innocence, I do allow that I've taken a curiosity in the team from afar (as explained in the link above). Since I'm home in New York for the next week, as much as I detest the IZOD Center, I'll be heading to Jersey on Thursday to catch the Blazers in person, courtesy of a generous ticket promotion from the Nets. Any chance other Edge folk will be in attendance?
And for all of you, anything in particular for me to be looking for watching the team in person? Been enjoying watching the Blazers on League Pass for much of the year but wasn't sure if there was anything to keep a special eye on up close. Looking forward to checking in with some thoughts after the game.

Fanshot on the topic
I assume this fellow is going: http://www.blazersedge.com/2009/1/12/718931/blazers-vs-new-jersey-anyo
I went to the Boston game in Boston, but student budgets don’t do well with travelling to NJ for games.

Trouble with the Free Tickets
Hey, I’m tyring your ‘generous ticket promotion’ you linked to. I for some reason cannot get it to work.
The instructions say -
To redeem special offer:
1. Click on Find Tickets.
2. Look for box marked ‘Paperfast Offer’ box
3. Enter your password. (Your password is case sensitive, so be sure to enter it as it appears on your card.)
4. Select number of tickets.
5. Follow remaining steps for purchasing.
I am unable to find ‘paperfast offer’ box.
Help??

I did get mine that way
and before I posted this, I checked the link to make sure the Blazers were still listed in case it could benefit anyone here but didn’t go far enough to realize that they had withdrawn the Paperfast offer on that game. My apologies if I misled anyone, sincerely wasn’t my intention. I owe you folks one.
On the upside, one of my readers “purchased” a bunch when I originally wrote the column about IZOD, and he’s got four extras that he offered to donate to the site. Given that the CB readership has shown rather little interest in this thus far, I’m happy to put the offer out to Blazer’s Edge as well. Again, four seats to the game on Thursday – no charge. If you’re at all interested, shoot me an email at sweinman43@gmail.com today, and we’ll try and set something up.

Looking forward to it
The sooner the Nets gets out of the Swamp, the happier I’ll be.
I’m still working on the baseball stadium trip myself (I’ve gone to close to half the league over the years, but I’d like to find a couple of weeks to hit a bunch in a row with some friends).
As for hoops, I experienced a rare travel week overlapping the end of ’06 and beginning of ’07: I flew 3,000 miles to see the Celts embarrass themselves against the Clippers, then drove up to Boston to see the Celts lose a heart-breaker in the last minute at home to the Cavs. After I had planned out the trips in November, Pierce got hurt the week before the trip out West.
Far too much Gerald Green and Bassy Telfair, as you might imagine. Happier days have come.

yeah thinking about the road trip
i think i might not want to see all blazer games! something about watching a game in which you really don’t care who wins or looses lets you focus more on the game than the refs/crowd/score. Have fun in New Jersey!

has the Curse of the Banned Bloggers been lifted on the Celtics yet?
Do you think there was any correlation between the Celtics recent losses and the mass banishment (10+ BEdgers) that was imposed by those henchmen “moderators” back on Dec. 30?
Timbo asked me to go over there and ask if you guys believe in Curses and Karma. The post was deleted and I was banned, so I haven’t been able to get a serious response yet.
Thoughts?
[PS. You’re obviously the best writer over there, but why do you guys have so many writers, moderators, and etc.? Does Clark just like to feel like he’s leading some good boys club or something?]

Hell yes
I even used the promotion that was posted on CelticsBlog.com (Fan Experience at the Izod Center) to scoop 8 tickets for a mere $0.75 each. I’ll be the dude w/ an afro and a B-Roy jersey on the 300 level.
