Around SBN: Knicks Beat Lakers With Familiar Strategy

Money quote:

Oddly, though, you'll never hear the loser of a game say, "Yeah, we were disrespected. No one thought we could do it ... and they were absolutely right. People showed a great deal of insight by believing us incapable. We deserved no respect. That Boomer Esiason fellow was right on the money. His hate was well-justified."

Works in football sometimes,

but in basketball, it’s the usual suspects who win. The Lakers, Celtics, Spurs. Not many Cinderella stories.

If you think I'm insulting you, I'm insulted that you'd even think that I would think of insulting you.

KG

Haven’t you seen the NBA commercials?
KG and the Celtics were a Cinderella story last year….

“what can you say now?!”

hahahhahaha if the Celtics are Cinderella

I’m dropping dead on the spot when I see the evil stepmother of the NBA.

that's right....

I seem to remember NOBODY thinking they could do anything last year. That’s hilarious. They were pretty much crowned champs shortly after those trades. Dang, I hate the Celtics.

I want to refer to them as the Yankees of basketball, but with a salary cap i’m not sure if it equates. But they BROUGHT in all their talent the same way, all at once, so i will hate on them anyway.

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.

OK, that should just about wrap up the goaltending discussion.
