This is a great video for not just us blazer fans but all NBA fans outside of Boston. It shows the highlights or should I say low-lights of the jerk that is Kevin Garnett.

another one
I caught this when watching a replay of the game today, and was able to find a youtube video of the play in question:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EbcRx9_X92c&feature=related
when Travis dunks on KG to make it a 4 point game, watch KG’s attempt to nail Outlaw in the side of the head with an elbow. You can see it clearly in the very last replay shown on the video.
Why this guy continues to get away with this thuggery is beyond me. almost anyone else gets suspensions for purposely throwing elbows around as much as he does.
Rule #1 of nitpicking is to get it right.

outlaw must have ducked like a ninja
because that elbow was heading right for his cranium, so fast you can’t even see him duck.

This man
Manages to lose more and more respect every time he plays us. It was nice to see Oden bang the hell out of him at the start of the game and nearly knock him over. Actual physical play, not dirty tricks.

glad rudy drew some blood on him
frankly I think he needs some more.

If I was a ref, I would know to T him up
… every time he plaintively holds out his arms like he was the victim.
What a punk.

yeah its amazing though
theres still a number of blazer fans that not only respect the guy but go out of their way to make apologies for him on here. kevin garnett. where amazing duchebagary happens.
The Blazers as a whole are far more like my wife than like me in the sense of their physicality on defense.

I think what makes me hate KG so much
is that I liked him as a guy/player until the last couple years. I just don’t get it, it didn’t seem like he was on this kind of trip while he was with the T Wolves
Bayless has been testing the fences for weaknesses

see that's the issue I have
People respond to me saying KG is a huge jerk, by saying that he has always been this way, its just that his teams weren’t winning. And that is a ridiculous statement A) They went to the play-offs every year from the 97 season to 04, and they went to the western conference finals, which is as good as we did in that era (and posted the best record in the West in 03-04), and B) they WERE IN OUR FREAKING Division (and had a better record then us) in the 05 and 06 seasons, and C) for the entire time from drafting KG to trading him they were in our conference, its ridiculous. Its like because all of these boston hitch-hikers, didn’t pay attention to the league for that amount of time, they didn’t see KG, and so assume no one did. We are the ones who should have hated him in Minnesota, and now not care since he is now in the East…. It just boggles the mind.

Guilty as charged,
but I think that the wool is starting to be pulled back a bit.
It really is too bad, because the guy is almost for sure a future hall of famer, and has the talent to be a MVP pretty much any given season. I have had a solid appreciation of KG to say the least, and I am sad to say it is starting to slip this season.
I heart taxes.

I guess most of you missed the glory days of the NBA…Im actually slightly emabarrased for those of you who think KG didnt act like this In minnesota, heck he acted like this in high school… I remeber as a celtics fan him laying out Pierce almost every time they met…he even got into it verbally and physically with Kendrick Perkins the year before he came here….he was historically rough on teammates in minny and had more than one incident of cheap shotting a guy and getting into it…are you really serious that he was a stoic tim duncan like when he was in minny? what are you smoking? his chest-pounding over-the-top antics have not changed one bit, just the jersey he wears has changed and the exposure and success of his team.
I can also understand why opposing teams fans dont like him, and quite frankly despise him

Also, it was Lamarcus Aldriges job, as it is everyone who matches up with KG, it to get physical with him, yet if KG gives it back its overanyalyed especially now that hes a champ and not a lovable loser

Look we've gone over this before
The Celtics were the lovable losers, Minnesota was a force to be reckoned with and they were beating us. LA got physical with Cagey and that’s why we won the game. For the love of god, maybe watch the highlight video before commenting and you will see that no one was saying he was the gothic statue that is Duncan, no, instead (as you can see in the video) Cagey is throwing Cheap elbows out of nowhere, and messing with Jose Calderon, that is not the same as bellowing or showing emotion.
Are you kidding me?? “Rough on teammates” You are saying this about someone considered the best teammate in the NBA? Do you not know anything about the person you are rooting for? Look everyone knows that KG is a great teammate, everyone who plays wth him loves him. Yet since winning the championship he has become a real dick to the rest of the league. These are two very different things, they don’t coincide at all.
In Minn. and Boston he would be juming up when a teammate hit a big shot, he would be bellowing and pounding his chest when he hit a big shot, BUT HE WOULD NOT go over to the other team and rub it in their face. Or if someone made a shot over him, he would learn and react instead of putting his hands on the ground and barking, or putting his hands in front of their face and snapping.
Seriously, I think there is a website where you can go watch old NBA games, you could even research every game that he got a technical foul in, and just watch those games, so that way you will be most likely to find an instance of Cagey acting like he is now in Boston. Because its not like someone in Boston would have made one of these videos by now to prove their point, that he was doing this before this year. Do you understand how easy that would be? And do you realize how many people have taken the time to document his Boston hystrionics? You would think that if you were right there would be another side to this coin. Anyways have fun.

I saw KG play the celtics enough and saw KG get cheap-shots in etc…and he was a lovable loser in minny bro, as much so as the celtics… when did minny win it all? as a matter of fact Boston made it just as far as the wolves this decade pre-trade
Yup, KG never got on all floors with the twolves, never
http://pagesperso-orange.fr/nba-history/images/as/garnett_360_040516.jpg
And he didnt get on teammates in Minny? hahahahahahahah Um he reportedly punched both Wally Szerzerbiak and Rick Rickert in practices, and hardly got along with anyone there

I think I figured it out
KG gets on his knees so much because he’s a bottom. I imagine he uses a green hanky too.

Are you actually suggesting that KG changed because he put on a green jersey? or because he won a title? well scratch the 2nd one off, because he was more intense last year and did the whole on all fours thing more than once…and please maybe all this research youre talking about, you need to go do yourself, KG hasnt changed one thing about himself since changing teams, from his chest-thumping pre-game rituals, to occasionaly getting on all floors, setting hard and sometimes illegal screens, constant jawing at the opposition, etc…..please man, I dont care if you hate him or not, just dont be a feeble minded little rat and say he didnt do the same things with the Twolves

feeble minded?
It took me to tell you exactly what to do to even help prove that Cagey got on his hands and knees to look like a Timberwolf for a promotional photo. Shouldn’t he be be dancing around a pot of gold or making shoes in the middle of the night for the Celtics?

You know, he played us twice as often each year when he was with the Wolves
and we played them a few times in the playoffs. People here have a pretty good feeling for what Garnett did and didn’t do pre-Boston. He had EPIC battles with Rasheed Wallace which did not devolve to the cheap shots he takes now.
You think LA’s being physical is the same as Garnett hitting him in the back of the head with an elbow as they are going up court?
And feeble-minded little rat? Did anyone provoke that? Not really.

KG has been doing these cheap shots for years
KG has always tried to get away with cheap shots. The main difference now is that the Celtics are the defensive team that T’wolves never were, thus the attempt at intimidation is more frequent. In Minnesota he was always the main offensive guy and concentrated more on shooting. Also Boston is a target, being that they won a ring, so every game against them is a little more intense.
KG’s ‘bow on Outlaw was uncalled for and a sore loser type of move. However, I grew up watching a better NBA where you didn’t get a T for laughing, screaming, hanging on the rim, etc. Whining about little elbows makes you just as bad as Stern and co. that got scurred after the pistons/pacers brawl and changed the rules.
I love to hate Boston just as much as the next fan, but if I was a C’s fan I would be even more mad about this obvious cheating that took place since it had a dramatic outcome on the game. Nate, scorer’s table, the extra player, ref’s incompetence should all be under review for suspension/fine.
