Good effort....

But I would probably put this type of thing in the fanshots next time. 3 way trades involving several star player will likely never happen in the nba. This would require 3 times to be willing to trade 1/3 of their roster, that simply won’t ever happen…

I'm with you

I love porn, but I’m not linking my favorite naked lady in the fanposts. Didn’t someone come up with the term “rosterbation?”

Agreed.

You shouldn´t link your favorite naked lady in the fanposts but in the fanshosts.

OT-OT-OT
I´m very busy aggregating my own play on words. All is about G. Oden this season if we want to go far from the region, gregmates are gregarious, because only with a regenerated knee our regular presence in playoffs will be registered in stone and our regnum will be established regardless whoever else is in the congregation. We will seriously regret any knee´s regresion or regrafting, we could be talking about Gregicide there, and nor Dave the RegulatorY neither the Royal Regiment of Scotland might avoid a peregrination of fans regurgitating revenge.

I hear ya brah

I’m not in the mood for any trades until we can take a look at the current roster and try to fill any perceived weaknesses.

1st and 2nd pick in 2007 on the same team not fair

by BLAZERS#52 on Sep 30, 2008 8:04 PM PDT to parent up   0 recs

Crazier things have happened

The Miami Heat once had the first 3 picks of the 1992 draft on their roster at the same time.

The result: Championship. This trade would do the same thing

yes!

but do we see it happening? no! too bad tho…

ALMOST any trade

that gets us Shane is fine by me.

My favorite teams are the Blazers and any team that is playing the Lakers.

Don't hate this trade...

but I don’t think we could get both Battier (who Van Gundy loves) or Harris (who NJ just traded Jason Kidd for last year) for essentially Webster, Frye and filler. Raef’s contract is not enough for the Nets to give up both Harris and Carter for McGrady…besides, do we really want to trade for a PG without seeing what Bayless can do in the regular season?

by lefty6283 on Sep 30, 2008 8:39 PM PDT   1 recs

I agree.

A trade at this point seems a bit pointless, especially seeing as we hear that Blake has improved this off-season, and Bayless might be the man down the road. We’ve got to see what we’ve got before giving the team away.

Great stuff!

Not plausible by any means, but it sure is fun to see what is at least possible.

Why on Earth....

would the rockets trade tmac AND Battier for martell, vcarter and filler? Tmac > Vince carter, and Battier > martell, so why would the rockets downgrade themselves? This is unbelievably homerific. We’re getting Devin Harris, Yi Jianlian, Shane Battier AND Bobby Simmons for Webster/Frye? I would ask you to share whatever it is your smoking…except I’m pretty sure I couldn’t handle it. The only team this is “fair” for is the Nets, and this would probably screw up their plan for the LBJ sweepstakes.

You are also forgetting

that Stromile has played for the Rockets before. They couldn’t get rid of him fast enough. I can’t see them wanting him back in town either

by tingeyga on Sep 30, 2008 11:36 PM PDT to parent up   0 recs

It's monumentally unfair ...

for both the Houston Rockets and the New Jersey Nets.

The Nets lose its starting point guard, its Chinese marketing tool, unbalance its roster by overloading on mediocre frontline players, and pointlessly swap Vince Carter for Tracy McGrady.

It wouldn’t ruin the Nets future chance at cashing in on LeBron James, however.

by AK1984 on Oct 1, 2008 12:48 AM PDT to parent up   0 recs

Devin Harris is dead to me

With the arrival of Jerryd Bayless the Blazers no longer need/want Harris.

This trade proposal ...

makes no sense whatsover.

The Houston Rockets aren’t replacing a premier lockdown defender in Shane Battier with an unproven commodity in Martell Webster, the New Jersey Nets aren’t trading Yi Jianlian due to him being a marketing tool, the departure of Devin Harris would leave the Nets without a serviceable option point guard, the Nets get absolutely fleeced here, and it’d be utterly pointless on behalf of everyone for cousins Vince Carter and Tracy McGrady to switch locations.

You get mild kudos for it being a, uh, time-consuming endeavor. That’s it, though.

Just one time I would like to read "Team X today waived Superstar Y" on the NBA transaction wire

All GM’s would probably look at the screen in disbelief for like 10 seconds, then scramble to their phones if they had any cap space.

Hey, Greg, LaMarcus and Brandon all have team options in 2009. So technically they are expiring contracts, too ;-)

Now THAT is funny!

How did he get THAT much salary? Does he have Raef’s agent?

My favorite teams are the Blazers and any team that is playing the Lakers.

No more trade scenerio's!

PLEASE! That’s acknowledging we aren’t perfect! And i disagree since I walked on water while turning water into wine on the way over here.

Even though this trade was interesting (yawn) I would appreciate then in the fan shots, or better yet, kept in your head.

but are you going to go to all the pre-games dressed in Raider’s gear wearing signs that say “Fire Al Davis” now that would be Post worthy.

Clearing Room For The Blazers Out West

As the playoff picture begins to take shape it becomes clear that the Western Conference is one big game of musical chairs. There are nine viable playoff teams; unfortunately there are only eight playoff spots. For the Blazers to get a spot, one of last year's playoff teams needs to fall off. Someone's going to be caught standing when the music stops. The following are possible scenarios that could derail each team on their quest for playoff glory, helping the Blazers get back to the postseason for the first time since 2003.
