New Jerseys Anyone?
So, I'll appologise a head of time if this has been a topic that has goten any real descussion time. However, if it has I have missed it.
Isn't it time to toss out those Jail Blazing jerseys we have right now? I remember hearing the idea tossed around last year about new jerseys and I kind of thought we would for sure be getting them this year. Just seems like the perfect time to make the final alteration to our team appearance (along with adding sasquatch and giving that bizarre cat thingy the boot). We are the new blazers and we are going to be good. Lets get some new jerseys (maybe reflecting the 1977 style) and get this ball rolling!

Jail Blazing Jerseys?
The team has only had 1 real significant jersey change and… That was before I was born.

Absolutely not!
First of all, they’re not “Jail Blazing” jerseys-the team has employed the same basic design since the ‘77-’78 season, which also means the team’s greatest and most beloved teams wore them. I’ve always loved the design and have no desire to see it change. My qualms regarding the team’s infamous recent past have everything to do with the personalities of those involved, from Bob Whitsitt to Qyntel Woods, and nothing to do with the team’s uniforms. I expect the current team to continue doing a splendid job of rehabilitating the franchise’s image, so, for those expressing concerns like yours the logo and unis should again be a proud tie to a wonderful past rather than a reminder of the team’s worst days. However, as I’ve mentioned several times here, I would like to see the signature pinwheel logo revert to its original upright placement-aesthetically, it’s far superior to the current logo, in my view.
Finally, John Canzano seems to think a uniform change is a jiffy idea (for the same reasons you’ve offered), and that’s reason enough for me to dismiss it as ill-advised. But I am all for adopting Sasquatch and ditching the disturbing feline.

This design
Is not really the same as the 77-78 season, not even the early nineties teams. The most noticeable difference being the lowercase letters, which I think is the biggest change people have been proposing. I am in favor.

I'm not referring to the lettering, which has obviously changed, but to the overall look of the jersey
The “sash” has been in place since ‘77-’78, which is what I mean by the jersey’s basic design. If the font was changed to evoke the one which was used from the 70s to the early 90s, I would be in favor of that minor change. But the key phrase I was responding to is “new jerseys,” which suggests a complete overhaul, and one which I am opposed to.

The Jail Blazers was the team I grew up with
Please don’t speak negatively of them. They are still my ohana no matter how many transgressions they make.

I remember the U2 film Rattle and Hum
in it the were set to play “Helter Skelter” and intro’d the song in the following manner (to paraphrase): “Charles Manson stole this song from Beatles…..and we’re stealing it back!!!”
I kinda think of the uni thing in the same way….the JailBlazers stole it…..and the current team is stealing it back!!
Keep it……minor alterations only
GO BLAZERS!!!

I wouldn't mind a new alternate jersey
Maybe a throwback with the vertical lowercase letters, but with a little more modern twist. I’d love to design a new jersey.

keep the basic design the same, but
add the new flourishes that are around the rest of the league: better finishing at the bottom of the ‘v’ on the neck, maybe a little blazer logo above the name on the back. it won’t take much, but we have the bring our jerseys into the current generation, they just look old and plain compared to all the little details on most teams newer jerseys.

Tweaks..as opposed to Tweakers..
I’m fine with the current basic design, but some tweaks might be cool. Like somehow incorporate the old font. Maybe ‘untilt’ the pinwheel. yeah, that’s it.

why conform to the rest of the nba?
I for one am glad the Blazers have never bought into the dumb uniform trends that come along every few years. I hate those little v-necks, except the old school Jazz uni. Stay classy Portland.

No thanks
unless it’s a throwback to an earlier design.

For sure..
Introducing a throwback would be sweet and satisfy our desire for something different. A lot of people suggest bringing back a form of that 70s style uni. So I think a throwback would be a perfect little surprise without having to change our current, sleek, and unoffensive jerseys.

Keepiin 'em
Love that crazy Trail Cat and like the jerseys.
No one can board the Rudy bandwagon unless they’re cool with Blaze. Blaze has been riding since day one. I don’t want it awkward on the wagon.

I say we add a mascot
We should get that DB? guy that jumped out of the airplane with all that loot. He could parachute in from the rafter and toss aound prizes. He totally represents what KP has done to the rest of the league…straight robbery…LOL

DB Cooper.
The more I think about him, the more I love that darn Trail Cat. I can’t wait to see him kill some mascots this season.

PinStripes
Adopt pinstripes. Vertical. Black and Red. Then put the players names on the back of their shorts – not the shirt. Then, put “Trail” on the front of the shirt, and “Blazers” on the back. The number should then be put on the front of the shorts. If one number put it on the right side, and if two, put one on the left and one on the right. That’ll get everyone with the program.

YES FO Pinsripes!
im down with idea of pinstripes. just take our diagonal strips of red, white silver, and turn them into solid horizontal red stripes against white or black unis. like the chicago bulls used to do. i loved those uniforms. theyre a clean and classy look. if not pinstripes i say just get rid of the diagonal lines altogether and have solid white, black or red unis. maybe couple solid thick stripes near the shoulder going down to the waist and connecting to the shorts.
or what about something like the cavaliers trimmings….like this..

in black, red, white, and sliver of course

Are those legal?
The last player to wear long sleeves at the pre-draft camp was ridiculed for being too skinny.

It looked like a very orangey shade of red in those pictures of Rudy.
