Shaun Livingston Debate
So I thought I would post this article, it is about the Shaun Livingston debate. We made it official that we will not sign him, but I think some people might still be interested in reading this aricle about the whole Shaun Livingston situation.
I for one am glad that we did not sign Livingston. I can see the connection he has to Darius Miles and it scares me. For that reason alone, I wouldn't want him in the Blazers locker room.

whole thing struck me as odd and unPritchardlike from the beginning
I for one was never on board with the “sign Livingston now” crowd. I was like whoa let’s think this through kind of like the big financial bailout for the Wall Street moguls that gambled away all of Aunt Millie’s life savings. let’s just think this through
We cannot put up with this flagrant lack of accountability anymore.
Good, glad to hear
I was going to call foul on Livingston right out the gate. Wait, i already did in the post announcing his signing. Normally KP and I are pretty dang near on the same page, and this one was left field foul ball. It kills chemistry, it’s not a huge trade piece no matter how you shake it, and we HAVE our PG in Bayless (despite those who doubt. I have a lot of questions this year, but Bayless is not one of them).
Additionally, you just killed all competition in preseason practices. Maybe not all, but you’ve got to give people something to fight for too. Personally I’d take steve hill. I’d also wait until the Preseason practices were over.
Ford: Bill, you're claiming victory already? Have you had a "Mission Accomplished" banner printed yet?

I'd take Hill too
Although a cogent argument can also be made for signing Luke Jackson.
We need a reserve big now that LaFrentz is likely gone for most of the season (again!) Remember last year LaFrentz got a fair bit of playing time when other bigs got injured or got into foul trouble. Of course, last year we did not have Oden. Still, bigs get hurt a lot.
Luke also deserves consideration because he would be a good long term answer to being that reliable backup SF who hardly ever plays but is always ready for threes off the outlet and defense.
We cannot put up with this flagrant lack of accountability anymore.
Pre-season contracts
How much do you suppose Hill and the rest of the gang are making for their pre-season efforts? Anybody got an idea on this? Enough to lounge around until next year?
superfluous
I'm not sure about the exact amount
but I do remember reading that players make more money by being invited to training camp than they would make playing in D-league for a whole season. I think it was over $100,000.
