No Livingston!
I'm glad we didn't sign Livingston. I don't think we needed him and it just didn't make sense to bring in another PG

Not now, but two to three years down the road it would have made terrible sense
This year, we will play an 8 to max. 10 men rotation. Sergio and Ike will see little average playing time, Raef, Nic and + #15 if there is one and whoever he might be virtually none. The plan to sign Livingston was never to get a guy to play major minutes this year. By the time Blake’s contract (and Sergio’s if we would pick up the team option and he is still there) would be up in 2010, Livingston might have completely recovered to the point where he could have been the starter or at least the first backup. At the time of his injury, his numbers were almost exactly the same as Blake’s are now, and he is over five years younger. He never was a scorer and much less an outside shooter, but due to his size and vision he could play passes maybe only the greatest guys like Kidd and Magic could to lead a game and would have developed into an outstanding player without the injury. Apparently now, he didn’t look solid enough for KP to take that long shot. I still hope he makes it back on another team in a smaller role, and that team doesn’t push him out on the floor too early to end his career for good.
But well, this is useless talk in too many places, and the discussion will shift to the team where he ultimately signs.

Since KP passed on him, can he get a job in the NBA?
All the other GMs must be wondering what to do…
Must not be able to play if KP said no…
Or, perhaps a ploy by KP? Livingston goes to another team and ends up being cut since he is not ready to play, come February, there is suddenly room on the Blazers…
-hmmmm…
He rehabs on another team's dime, then comes back to the Blazers?
I like your thinking Dr. Evil, but the Wolves or whoever ultimately signs him will rather give him a one year guaranteed contract with year 2 (and maybe three) as team options. Then they are in control and not Livingston and his agent. And in a very dry market after the Blazers have passed he will have to accept that.
