Basketball Without Borders
The Portland Tribune has a nice article on Blazer scout Chad Buchanan's recent trip to South Africa.

Thanks, Dave.
I like to hear that it is a point of emphasis to get coaching/fundamentals up to the level of the athleticism of the players, and that the players are so eager to learn. It is also nice to see that players from all African countries were present and given this great opportunity.
Salaam.
Thanks for the link
I need to read more about this.
Eggers article was sweet and too short.

Who's your Chaddy?
or should I say “Hoosier Chaddy” since he’s in the basketball business?

That was a swell read
It is nice that they are doing some good things over there. My next thought is how long before we see an influx of African players?
Blazers Edge has an alarmist vision
Remember we discussed Angola during the Olympics
And some poster had plans how easy it would be to create a better African national team?
Well, it was in jest, and I guess it will still take some time to develop an infrastructure in certain African countries (much more in all) that truly detects and supports a significant number of talents. The abilities of the players should be there.
