OT: New Minnisota and Sacramento Jerseys revealed

Not sure if this was already posted. I tried searching and the fanposts and didn't see anything so if it has then let this post die a quick death. Saw this from Ball-don't-Lie and thought is interesting during the slow summer months. Not sure I get what Minni's doing with there look, but I think the Sac-town is better. On another note I've heard a few rumors that the Blazers are re-engineering their uni's and wonder what they'll look like. What do you guys thing of the new ones posted, and what from these would you like to see portland use? after multiple attempts to correct the link I give up Here is the address itself http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/blog/ball_dont_lie/post/Minnesota-and-Sacramento-s-new-jerseys?urn=nba,97655

That’s Minnesota.

I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure.

Hee hee

The link leads right to this post itself.

I saw the Minny unis on the SBN Minny site, and they SUUUUUCK. They look like a mistake, a misprint. The font is too small, the depressing blue is still too prevalent, and it’s a bad choice overall. Just bad.

I liked the Kings unis I saw, though I guess some didn’t? If I was Sacramento though, I’d be concerned about the removal of the city name what with the owners being out of town rich dudes with very strong Vegas ties who probably wanna move the team to Vegas one day. You wanna see the team explicitly linked to Sacramento if you’re a fan there.

And I thought those were just their summer league jersey’s. And yes. They suck.

I dont like the wolves jersey

its all about the drunk font used for the numbers that seeme like something in an old-not-cool cartoon.

I like the kings jersy ok but even though it FEALS now, something seams missing.

Half and half

I really like the Kings half, really dislike the Timberwolves half. I think those Kings jerseys look great, really classic. The Minnesota jerseys just look awful. How many collars do they need? I counted 3! And the lettering and numbers don’t really match, which might be ok if they were two different but good fonts. Unfortunately, they’re two different and really crappy fonts. Also, the blue, black, and green colors don’t go well together and don’t represent Minnesota well. I think it’d be great if they did a redesign and tried to incorporate more of the Wild’s colors and styling:

Ugh

I think those are hideous.

But, um… different strokes?

Fair enough

I just don’t see why anyone chose the current Timberwolves color scheme. Not only does it make no sense, but none of the colors go well together. I think the green on the Wild jerseys is more applicable and similar to the green generally seen in Minnesota, and the red goes well with it. The red (and light gold highlights) is also a nod to the University of Minnesota colors. I’m not advocating that they outright copy a hockey jersey for basketball (because that would be awful), but they really should get whoever designed that Wild jersey to work on the Timberwolves’. In general, I think the color scheme and design elements of the Wild jerseys look really good, and it could help to incorporate some of that into the Timberwolves jerseys. (I went to school in Minnesota, so I’m not just blowing total hot air. I think Minnesotans would like Wolves jerseys better if they meshed with the Wild more.)

I guess I half-agree.

The green on the Wild jerseys looks pretty good, but the red is just so… pastel. If it were a vibrant, PTB red, I think they would be more attractive.

I do like the idea of having the Wild jersey designer work on a new scheme for the T-Wolves. I love what Pittsburgh has done, where every team is black and yellow. More cities should follow that lead.

I like Kings, not Minnesota

I actually think both the originals were better, but the Kings new one isnt bad at least. Minnesota’s new one looks like a practice jersey or a summer league jersey though.

Like one not other.

Minnesota’s new logo is nice. Unis I’m not a fan of. Sacramento’s doesn’t look like too much of a big deal either way.
