Season ticket holders or want to bes...
I was calling about group tickets because I wasn't sure i'd be able to get in on the BE opening night group, and ended up emailing a sales guy there.
Awesome rep... Paul Rothchild is his name. Very responsive with the email and friendly guy to chat with.
Anyway, I'd been waiting for NEXT year to buy season tickets because I thought I might have one more year. Paul is saying there's a high likely hood that won't be the case.
Season Tickets are almost completely sold out. All that is left is white, and club. I just purchased the last three fuschia (had to because they came as a set... darn it). Some may drop those season tickets next year, but WHY if the blazers continue to improve? Everyone here from drexler and before knows a little about real blazer mania (not this silly "blazer mania is back" stuff), and thus you can imagine just how hard it will be to get tickets in the future. Particularly the season tickets to ensure PLAYOFF seating.
14000 seats are reserved for season ticket holders. The rest go to the groups and single ticket purchasers get what's left.
Next up for purchasing will be the groups who will likely buy out all the exciting games. The prediction by Paul was that the blazers will only have 300 level tickets left as singles for the best games and possibly even then there won't be a lot of single tickets.
If you're pondering or waiting, I'd suggest you give them a call and talk it over. Next year you might have a chance at them, but after that, they'll be gone and you may not even have a chance at next year. If you don't want club or the white section, you'll have to wait until next year to find out though.
Also, the blazers have a nice website that apparently lets you sell tickets for NO LESS than your purchase price. (not single ticket price). Frankly, that's how i hope to float the season tickets while i'm living in SLC.
Side note... yes I AM still interested in the blazer edge group for opening night. I'll just be selling my tickets to friends or online for large amounts of money to help fund this insanely expensive purchase i just did. (bolded as this was apparently missed before. I'll be selling my SEASON tickets to this game, not the BE. I want to be with a loud rowdy bunch of blazer lovers.)
Oh yeah, they do have single seats for single tickets AND you can space it out over 8 months which helps make it affordable.
Sorry if this has been posted before, but wanted to give people a heads up. If I hadn't called about forming my own group, i would have waited a year and I may have been out of luck.
I am now going to be one broke individual... hopefully those tickets sell or i'll be enjoying top ramen for quite a while.

It's early but I would be interested in your other tickets
Specifically the season opener. I an just a couple years out of school so I just picked up the quarter season pack because everything else was WAY out of my price range.

Honestly,
i’ll probably put them up for bid.
The reason is that these things are NOT cheap and the big games I need to make back as much as I can because the smaller games I may not be able to sell.
I feel dirty about selling tickets for profit, but the season ticket package that I purchased is definitely on the side of “wow” that’s expensive. Seriously… i could have purchased a car. I need to make profit where I can because I’m sure there will be games that don’t sell.
If it weren’t for the fact I need to make the cash back where I can, I’d totally sell to you.
If we make the play-offs remind me of this thread or link to it, better yet. I won’t be going until western conference finals (maybe) and finals (for sure) and I’ll sell my tickets to the other play-offs to you as I will have hopefully broken even by then. Heck, I have three seats so you could actually have the third spare.
LIke i said though, you’ll need to remember and remind me of this post.
If you really want the home opener, you can get a group of ten together and get on the reserved list, or email catman2 and see if he can add more.

Sounds good and I completely understand
You definitely won’t have any problems selling them above cost if things go the way we anticipate. Anyway, this fanpost is definitely going in the bookmarks.

fair enough!
If I don’t get all my money back, I’ll want to use a couple of those tickets to sell, but I can also sell that stray third seat for more and get you the two at fair value.
Here’s hoping the season goes as we all dream!

I was on board for 07-08
season tickets for the whites, but then the Blazers
signed a deal with COINCAST and we got BLACKED
OUT. I vowed to not attend another game until the
BLACKOUT was lifted.
Do you know how hard it is to keep the Red & Black

to Memorial/Rose Garden. I’m DYING HERE !!!!!

Ouch...
that has GOT to suck.
Comcast is definitely on my list of companies to avoid if at all possible. The deal, when it’s made, won’t change that. They screwed with blazer fans and they have no remorse about it. My dollars have buying power and it doesn’t buy them.

the only whites left are 3/4 back and corner.
You might want to reconsider a boycott this year.

Thanks, Bro, but ...
IF, and I do mean IF, the deal gets done, I’ll
return to pre-game visits to the BW on the corner.
It’s worked for years and I have the ticket stubs
to prove it.
Do you remember the Memorial sell-out streak ?

If you are interested
I would like to talk you about a certain game where I would pay a nice % over the normal price for those three tickets. I live in Bend and I get to Portland about once a season. It would be nice to have tickets in hand ahead of time.

we can talk. you can email me at jayson 26 2001 at yahoo.
Tickets not available are around thanksgiving, christmas, and new years as I’ll be in town then. All others are open.
Tickets that will be the highest will be lakers (definitely going up for bid) lebron and company, utah, NO, suns, and spurs. I”m waiting to receive my membership package to really decide what I’m going to do.
seats are section 106 NN (10-12 i believe)
You can log onto the blazers website to check out the view. YOu’re behind the basket in Fuschia.

I have been debating posting this
for quite a while, but I figure now is as good of a time as any. I have season tickets and really only go to 1/3rd of the games when I am in town. I am not in the country right now, but am keeping the seats. One guy there now is going in on 1/3rd of a season, and I am going to sell the rest. I want to hang on to 1/3rd of them and sell them on my own to claim my spot for the future, but if anyone is interested in the other 1/3rd, plus 1/3rd of the playoffs from this season until whenever you’ve had enough (I have to buy for the following season for my playoff tickets, as would you from me) that would be cool. Once I get back we could have draft parties or whatever, I’ll be back in early April of 2010. What I did for the other guy this year is just split the season up in 6 tiers and to buy from the top, he has to buy one from the bottom. 2nd up, 2nd down, so on. He would have first choice this season since we made this deal a long time ago, but next year would could have like a first pick draft type deal that rotates by the year.
I also have more seats which I could break up as well in a similar fashion if someone only wanted a third. I would want to keep the rest of those as reserves, so we could have extra playoff tickets if say game 7 of the finals comes around or something like that, no one will be left high and dry.
The tickets, they are in section 334 row A right on the aisle next to 333. Obviously I’ve been there for a bit. I do get them for less than face value, but when I first got on board they weren’t even worth the paper they were printed on, so sorry about having to charge face for them. The other ones that I was refering to I picked up at the open house this year are section 118 (the upper ligt blue part of the section) row 3 . Again, I was able to get them beacuse I have been on board so long and had a high priority and didn’t want to pass the opportunity up. I really want to get the 334 ones taken care of and sell the 118 on my own. I like the uppers better, but that isn’t the majority opinion so it works as a nice reserve that I have no problem getting rid of, but if there are BEers out there in need I could do it for one person for something like the 1/3rd of the season, but I’m not sure how the playoff bit would work. Maybe if there is a title on the line, we would have to commit to the 4 people who are in on this would have to share the 4 tickets that I have. Doesn’t sound like extras will be easy to get despite my high level of priority, but that could be an option as well. I don’t know, I’m open to suggestions. I don’t even know if there will be any interst in this.
Please don’t buy them to resell them (a game or two ithat you can’t go to is OK of course). That’s not why I’m posting this, and that could get complicated.
One more thing, I’m off to go camping tonight, so if you do respond and don’t hear anything from me for a week, don’t take it personally.

And possibly put something together giving the bedgers first dibs at the beginning of the season, when I can send tickets via email.
