I think I'm buying tickets for opening night soon. Most likely tonight. They have a lot in the 300 level. I'm afraid if I don't get them now, I'll miss out and be ever so sad.
The first concert I ever attended was Poison. Tesla opened up for them.
My wife won't let me have a Sulcata tortoise.
75 words is a lot harder to get to than I imagined. One year when I lived in Alabama, a huricane came and we went to Brett Favre's town and spent the night in a hotel. That night, we were stopped at a stoplight and I watched a car make a left turn, and crash head on into the car stopped to the left of us.

I checked out tickets for sale to the Lakers home opener, which happens to also be the BLAZERS (my favorite team) season opener. People who got season tickets (I’m assuming) are putting their tickets up for sale and there’s a few tickets up for sale for the season opener, and I bet there are some for the Blazers as well.
I know I’m gonna try to get me some of dem tickets so I can see Oden play live and in person before ALL Y’ALL WHAT WHAT!

What do you kids know about fleas?
I put Advantage plus on my dog and cat twice a month. I give my dog plenty of baths and each time I take him on a walk, he comes back with at least half a dozen fleas on him. Does anyone know any natural flea repellents? We started giving him brewers yeast and I am not seeing any results.

That sucks
Mercury (my dog who has sworn vengeance upon a world that had scorned her) got real bad fleas once we moved to our new place, and normal flea medicine didn’t work worth a GOSH DARN POOP.
So we got some Advantage, and I gave her a nice bath in an oatmeal shampoo. It helps for flea baths. Then I put the advantage on and she hasn’t had fleas since.
Also, before I did that, I’d rub her belly and when a flea walked across her belly I would grab it and decapitate the flea’s head with my fingernails in front of the flea’s kids. It sent a chilling message to the savage beasts that their presence will not be tolerated and the punishments severe. They got the message right quick, believe you me.
I took some of the flea corpses and impaled them on spikes and cages with spikes and placed them at the base of the tail as a warning to all fleas that board her dog-harbour.
Are you letting the doggie run through flea infested grass/beach/shrubbery each time you walk the dog?
Other doggies giving it to her?
If you found some strain of flea that doesn’t mind Advantage, I’d try to figure out where the dang fleas are coming from and avoid that place like it was the O-Live forum—ZING ZING ZING.

It’s just the neighborhood around my house. I can’t avoid it. It is literally the little patches of grass between the sidewalk and the street. The closest park is a school in the day so I don’t take him there these days.

A natural repellent is the plant, pennyroyal. It worked for my cats several years ago
when I grew it. You can buy it as an essential oil. Dab some on his collar before you go out for a walk. It has a very strong, acrid, minty smell. Not bad, really, just strong. It has other uses too.

Fleas
Fleas can be quite a pain in the arse. They lay eggs in your carpet and couch and then hop back on your dog when they’re mature. You should make sure you give your dog a good bath. Apply the Advantage in several spots along “Mercury’s” back, evenly spaced and make sure the Advantage makes contact with your dogs skin.
You might want to walk your dog in a different place if he comes home with that many fleas each time. Many dogs have allergies to fleas… if this is the case you might want to try a food supplement with omega 3 and 6 fatty acids (but your vet should have a better idea what to do if your dog has allergies.).
You might also need to do something about the flea larvae that are probably living your carpet (I”m NOT saying you’ve got a dirty home) and but they are probably all up in your dogs bed…
I don’t know much about flea bombs, but I don’t like poison much. Especially with pets or kids living in the home. I’m sure a rug-doctor could help to get rid of the larvae and the flea poop that the larvae feed on… Flea eggs like moisture and warmth… I guess you could put dry ice all over your floor…LOL.
Flea eggs can persist and stay viable for months… so don’t think they will just go away on their own. You might want to get more advice on that from an experienced veterinarian or the Orkin man if you swing that way… if it becomes a big problem for you. As for natural deterrents… I have not heard of one..
you could also try burning your house down… but if that doesn’t work you may need to be a bit more aggressive with your anti-flea protocol. Good luck with that :)

Thanks
I might try Ann’s stuff. There is an annthefan store close to my house that sells stuff like that. I’m a pretty anal house cleaner. I move all the furniture that is movable and vacuum under it. I was his bed and the blanket my cat sleeps on once a week and I spray some flea killer Febreeze stuff on the carpet when I’m done. I think the fleas are more noticeable because he’s only about 9 lbs, he’s mostly white, and he has thin terrier like hair. I’m sure the Advantage works but unfortunately it requires the fleas to get on him and have a snack before the flea dies. I live in a 17th floor apartment so I don’t really have another option for taking him someplace else for walks. That’s why I was inquiring about some sort of repellent.

Yeah
I think at one point they were coming from my cat because I wasn’t dosing him too much since he stays inside. I was actually using that crappy flea stuff you can get over the counter. I haven’t walked my dog for two days and haven’t seen a flea on him. After a walk, he’ll have fleas the size of a sesame seed on his private parts and all over his back legs. That is where his fur is the longest.

This subject is making me itchy
There’s another chemical called Frontline, and another something called Program—each hits the fleas at different parts of their life cycle. A friend of mine had good luck with Fleabusters. I think it’s a franchise with several different products, supposedly pretty natural.

Frontline works great, at least on labs and golden retrievers....
I worked at a kennel 2 summers ago and that is what we used and recommended. We trained the retrievers, and they would be at the kennel for months at a time during their program. As long as they had received Frontline in the last few months, they were pretty much immune to fleas. It isn’t a very cheap method, but it seriously does work from what I have seen, and it only needs to be applied twice a year if I remember right. Good stuff…..

OT twice a month is too much
advantage is a monthly dose minimum. If fleas are returning to pester your pets, it would seem it because their environment still has fleas. Wash their beddings and vacuum your house. I bought a can of Knockout ES available from any reputable vet and use it after vacuuming to go around the perimeter of carpet. Stuff works great and I rarely have to use it. Plus a good flea comb and constant grooming is the most important thing. You show your animals you care and then they meow at you for more attention later. What do I know anyways?
