How well will Greg do in his first month-a statistical comparison

People here have been across the boards on what they expect from Oden in his first year and looking back this is what history has shown us that players of his caliber were able to produce in the infancy of their careers.

So with that data on the table we should expect Greg to come in with the following stats:

Greg Oden:

1st game

10/28/08 vs L*/ Andrew Bynum

MP: 34

FG%: .528

FT% : .591

TRB :  12.6

AST : 1.8

STL: 1.4

BLK: 2.8

TOV: 3.8

PF: 3.8

PTS: 17.6

1st month:

16 Games

MP: 33.8

FG%: .535

FT% : ..576

TRB :  11.6

AST : 1.54

STL: 1.05

BLK: 2.66

TOV: 3.35

PF: 3.64

PTS: 16.4

In looking at the stats, it is difficult to pin down which one of these players Oden will emulate. In so far as body style and play he is a combo of Robinson and Shaq, but situation wise he is closer to Dwight and Duncan as in he is young like Dwight and has other offensive threats next to him like Duncan.

Overall those #s seem pretty reasonable for a player of his ability and hopefully we will achieve the success of the twin towers and Shaq.
