Hornets New Uni's
The New Orleans Hornets announced the unveiling of their updated logo and fresh look Uni's today. I linked some pictures of them here and here. I like the retro 'Charlotte' look theyre going for. But it made me wonder...when are the Blazers gonna update our logo and uniform? Is there any word from the organization that they'll consider revising or updating the Uni's? Is there something in the near future? Personally, I liked the 70s circa Bill-Walton-stripe-down-the-shoulder look and our 'true' logo. Seems like with our up and coming team with Greg Oden, and our growing group of stars that it would be appropriate to give the franchise a fresh look on our way to a championship. Any updates or news regarding this situation? Any word from the organization or KP? Leave them thoughts here...

I like what they've done, especially w/ the NOLA logo...
…which tweaks the Utah “Jazz” nicely (that’s one of the more oxymoronic franchise names ever-unless somehow we find out that Louis Armstrong or Charlie Parker actually spent five years in SLC woodshedding).
I’ll be eternally fond of the uni look the Blazers have had since ‘77-’78. I remember being an ecstatic third grader when they were unveiled: “First they win the championship, now they have the coolest uniforms in the world!” I’d love to see the pinwheel spin back to where it should be. I think it’s such a striking logo when it’s done correctly. I love the old font, but I will reluctantly admit it looks increasingly dated as time goes by (I admit that this is sheer apostasy, especially to longtime fans). Perhaps a professional typesetter could update it just a tad. A slightly retro update would be a great way to connect this team with the great teams of the past as well as to commemorate the stunning rebirth of the franchise.
Didn't we just get new ones like, 3 or 4 years ago?
Seriously, enough changing of the uniforms.
That's a pretty long process
The Timberwolves said it took them over a year to get it approved by the league. We have more important things to do.
And e.g. you can’t use your alternate unis after changing your road uni for a year.
Odenied: Asked whether he noticed Oden favoring his right knee, Frye dismissed it entirely. "He favors dunking on your head, that's what he favors."
As much as I'd like to see us revert to the Old-School vertical pinwheel and new unis ...
… I think holding off another year or two is a good idea. Let things really gel.

I especially like the current ones
They’re consistent with the designs of the past but they look just right. The ’70s uniform would look dated now.
Where Have I seen these before......

How creative they look just like The Hornets jerseys of the early 1990s only now they say a different city.

the only reason........
they’re doing this is to raise money…get people to buy new jerseys. I thought N.O’s previous jerseys were fine. Best yellow unis in the NBA.
I especially like the new logos of the Hornets
Much cleaner and meaner than the old one. That colorful hornet looked like a bad comic strip, now at least it’s in consistent colors (as discussed yesterday in the junk drawer).

That's funny: OKC writer disses the Hornets new unis before having seen their own new team outfits

Or even their name. Now that critique might have been a little premature ;-)

Well, they ARE associated with the L[xxx]rs of baseball.
And yes, that’s exactly what the Yankers are.
