Hmm

I would take Bell over Webster I think, however I’m not really sure I’d want Bell playing SF.

Channing, if his three is as good as they’re making it seem to be now how can you turn him down.

Martell, Channing

Wow, so far I’m all for the Blazers. It’s almost like you’re setting it up.

I like Raja, but I don’t see where he’d fit. He’ll hustle, but Martell has shown signs of doing that as well. Plus, Marty’s probably got the edge in shooting. If Martell learns to defend, then it’s easy. Until then, it’s almost a wash, so I’ll stick with the guy I’ve got.

Channing is simply my favorite personality on the team. He brings a level of intellectualism that every team needs. At least they need it if they’re ever going to make a movie. He’ll undoubtedly be knocking over a rack of balls during the coaches big speech. In basketball terms, Noah would be good, but he’ss side-show bob it a little too much. Any player that seeks attention like he does (see the suit he wore to the draft, his hair), is compensating for something. It’ll prove to be a distraction. Glen Rice is fat. Nough said.

You’re last post wasn’t bad at all. They were good questions and it was something that actually was a little different. It’s a very good idea in general. Maybe you should start the debates by coming up with a few reasons and saying who you’d choose. The folks here, lately, are disagreeable and feisty. They’ll post to tell you you’re wrong, but they aren’t posting their ideas anymore. They used to. Maybe this’ll bring em back.

Same as Hobobob ... sort of.

I like Bell, but we had our very own Raja in Ime Udoka (whom I’d happily welcome back as a Blazer). That Pritchard felt confident keeping Martell and letting Ime sign elsewhere is enough to determine which player I choose.

Channing over Davis, not that I don’t like Big Baby. I think he will be a productive player off the bench for Boston. I like Channing for the reasons hobobob gives and because I think he’s a nice fit alongside Pryzbilla on a second unit. Plus, I have a feeling that we are going to see some noticable improvement in Frye’s play this season.

The choice between Channing and Noah is a bit tougher. Noah was a guy I wanted to see as a Blazer. It will not surprise me to see him end up with an All-Star appearance or two. He brings a lot of energy and emotion to the game and reminds me a bit of Brian Grant in the latter category. In the end, I think I’ll roll the dice and stick with Channing, as his style of play might just suit Portland better with the roster we now have.

Bell and Frye

I should point out that I am NOT a Martel guy at all. He is entirely too moody and way too inconsistent for my liking. Bell hustles, and plays defense.

Noah is a hot head who I was IMO overrated in college. I have never understood why people were so high on his unathletic, awkward, spastic play in college, and am not surprised he has so far been an average NBA Player.

Fat boy Davis will eat his way out of the league a la Oliver Miller in a few seasons.

Based largely on the strength of his blog (the one about holding a fart for an entire flight specifically), and everyone else on the list’s ineptitude, I’ll take Channing.

But being honest is all I do well.....

I loved it when you said..

Way to silence the doubters, holic!

As far as I’m concerned, it’s kind of a toss-up between Martell and Raja, but I’ll take Frye over the other two any time. He had a bright future before him before landing in New York and I don’t think we’ve seen anything close to his potential yet (which is already more than the alternatives with which you supplied us).

As a side note, many here (including myself) don’t take too kindly to the “filling up words” part of a fanpost. Some say (again, including myself) that if your post doesn’t meet the 75-word mark, it probably belongs under the fanshots, not the fanposts. Not to say that this isn’t a thought-provoking post at all, but instead of “75-ing” your next entry, you might want to take it as an opportunity to flesh out your point a little further – could go a long way. Just my two cents, though, so take it as you will. Anyway, nice work.

Blazers Broadcasters Mike Barrett and Mike Rice re-enacted NBA referee Scott Foster's controversial goaltending call on Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who was defending Oklahoma City Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, during this week's edition of Blazers Courtside. Remarkably, no one was injured during the taping of this segment.

OK, that should just about wrap up the goaltending discussion.
