Brandon Roy in Men's Health
Brandon Roy has a pretty good feature in the most recent Men's Health. It, like all press with Roy, shows him as a classy guy with a long-term plan. Just a really good read about how Roy thinks of himself and thinks of his career. Good tips for an aspiring athlete too. It's cool to read, and cool to see our boy in the national press. Linked here:
Off Topic Post Script: Did anyone catch the Wimbledon final? Not my favorite sport, but Feder and Nadal are clearly at the peak of it. Best Tennis I've ever seen.

I didn't see much of the final,
but what I saw of it was incredible.

You're right
It’s old, my source was wrong about it’s date. Oh well, it’s new to me, and it’s still an interesting article. Sorry if it’s a repost.

Does anyone think Roy is too heavy?
He weight is listed at around 229. For a guy 6-7! If he’s going to play more Point Guard next season and the ones after, shouldn’t he lose at least 10 pounds? He weighs as much as a Small Forward right now. Rudy is only at 185. That’s a difference of 44! There really shouldn’t be difference of 44 between starting 2guard and backup 2guard. For the record I don’t think that it matters to Roy’s game whatsover, yet, but it could effect his game in the long run. Losing some weight would also limit the pressure he puts on his feet(ankle/heel). He certainly doesn’t look fat at all so it could be a mistake.

if the organization really planned on roy playing the point full time
in any other capacity then the fourth quarter crunch, I think he wouldnt be adding weight.

Roy is a big strong guy.
People overlook this because they see him move around on the basketball court and he makes it look he is just out for a stroll in the park.
I like him at just under 230lbs to keep him from getting pushed around in the painted area and allowing him to finish strong around the basket.

Agreed,
If you look at the way Roy is constantly taking contact and sacrificing his body to get to the hoop/free throw line I think that it is important that he stay pretty big. Injuries could be a concern for him, so stay big, stay healthy when going to the hoop!

Rudy is pretty scrawny for an NBA player.
