Bayless: 2nd game of his freshman year replay
I know that some don't have comcast, but I was looking for college games. It looks like comcast will replay Blayless' 2nd game.
On Comcast it's Channel 415 (FCSP) 6:00 am on Monday.
Virginia @ Arizona.
This game also came right after Lute Olsen left the team (personal).
I won't ruin the game if you just want to watch it, but if you want to know info before watching:

I'm trying real hard to just wait for summer league in a week, but I can't. I watched Arizona several times during the year, but this time I'll be paying closer attention.
But remind yourself -- good or bad -- this game was only Bayless' second time out.

Hey thanks for the head-up, parkinglot
Unfortunately I don’t have cable anymore because the landlady unplugged it before she left for her summer home. Oh well. Television sucks anyway. Just wish I could watch the occasional hoops.
I get the sneaking feeling that Bayless is gonna be a phenomenal NBA player. He and Mayo are the best players in the 2008 draft class, IMHO. Bayless might be better because he’s got a better outside shot and he has that killer instinct, plus he is constantly improving his game.
Nature bats last.

In case you guys missed it
There’s another guard who was drafted named Rose. Maybe you’ve heard of him.
I hope Bayless turns out to be great. Rose already is. Did you guys watch the NCAA tournament?

Segue. Guess what I'm doing. I taped the Jan. 27th game against the Hawks and I'm watching it as I Bedge.
Three minutes to go in the second quarter so it’s still ugly. I don’t know why I taped it but I’m glad I did.

Travis and Brandon won that game in the 4th qtr. while Brandon was running a fever.
The Blazers had been down as much as 19 points for the entire game and behind by 10 to start the 4th.
Here’s a link to the Olive recap.
My favorite still of the season.

Motivation for the fanpost
I thought I’d share why I posted this.
When I watched Arizona this year, I thought that the most likely pick for Portland would be SF. So I kept an close eye on a player from Arizona: Budinger. I hated him (as a player) as I watched more and more of him. He, from my standpoint, is a horrible defensive player. I dreaded the words, “Portland selects Chase Budinger.”
So as I watched Budinger, I didn’t see the player that I should have watching all along.

budinger removed his name from the draft,
otherwise Phoenix was projected to take him at 15. Portland wouldn’t touch the guy with a 10 ft pole, I don’t think we wanted another project at sf.

yeah, I know that now
At the time though few thought that Webster or Outlaw were the answer at SF. All year Budinger was rated around where we were set to pick. (Except very early when some thought that we’d end up picking 1st). I was relieved when he stayed in school.

right,
but I didn’t see any mocks where we picked Budinger. That’s my point. Before guys like Budinger removed their names, I think the draft stock of players like Augustin and Westbrook was low enough that we were slated to grab one of them at the 13. Once their stock rose, Rush was the guy that took their spot. I’m as glad as you that he chose to go back. It should improve his chances of becoming a lottery pick.

Chad Ford's draft simulator had Portland picking Budinger
I think it was for the first month it was started. Things changed though. He also had another SF there, Greene or Batum. I can’t remember which.

You are correct
That is the only way I knew who Budinger was. Chad Ford had him as our pick during the end of the season, and just after. It sent chills down my spine even though I knew nothing about him.

Nice article
In reading that it makes me wonder what our final 5 min team will be:
of course
Oden
LMA
Roy
but the other positions have me thinking
Outlaw: Mr 4th quarter w/ ice in his veins?
Bayless: The assassin?
Rudy: No stranger to the big shot in Espana.
First off with 5 of those players on the court we will be DEADLY as they all are unafraid to take the big shot. Roy and TO of course, Bayless soulds like he is the man and Rudy does as well.
